As for how we read the question, it is clear that will color the way the question gets answered. It is clear you are hung up on what you initially went with in your first reply to this very topic, which did not really answer any questions, as much as give your personal advice on what is interesting and what is not. The player with the question started by asking what would be a good setup to play as a CF/RC-banker with Revalon, and what the percentages were. You response was basicly "Revalons suck"

After your opinion on Revalons was stated, the player with the question asked on "What is a decent banker race, and how to avoid a crappy round" Where you replied with your bullshit on how you cant have fun as a banker without doing opps. Which is retarded. And goes to show you have no actual idea on what you are talking about. Being a banker is so much more than sending out the random aid-shipment. It is math with several variations; its planetary defense, infrastructure-planning and general economics. Rate of resources/gold paid against return. Something opping (costing money) and attacking (costing more money) has no part in. The simple art of making the most money. As a CF/TO banker, this is easiest accomplished with a Revalon. And as you repeatedly have stated, you agree on this.

But no. Banking is boring, do something else. Add some opps to the side, be custom. Make less money, so you can spend more money doing shit to keep you entertained, in a role were your purpose is to make the most money. That makes a whole bunch of sense. If you cant be entertained by running economy, maybe banking is not for you ? Wanna try resource opping ? Then you get the science bonus, you get the opps, speed...FFS you even get to attack some. But that was not the question. The question was being the best possible player. And in this particular case, as a CF/TO banker. Something you did not answer. Ever.

Now to clear up your obvious confusion concerning the bottom fam vs SS statement :

1. If you are a camaar or revalon in a bottom fam, you will not have a good round. - YOUR statement.
1x. If you drop into that bottom fam, you might aswell go SS - MY statement

Here I comment that you will most likely not have any fun or support in a bottom fam, no matter what race you choose. Might aswell go SS. At least you get the resources you need.

BUT...

So concluding, and this is my final reply to this post :

The best money-making CF/TO -banker- is Revalon. This makes Revalon a more than decent CF/TO-banker race.

The best percentage for a Revalon CF/TO-banker..well its debated, but keep most (>60%) your buildings CF's and around 25% of your buildings TO's. What you do with the last percentages is mostly up to you. I choose to have most of the remainder be RC's and lasers.

To have a fun round as a -banker- your motive is to make piles and piles of money, calculating your jumps, potential econ growth vs actual econ-growth, having a full overview on your teams budget as well as making sure your defenses are up to the standards required at that specific point of the round. Feel free to compete with other family-bankers about who makes more money, who plays the market better and hahaha how many fleets that n00b attacker lost on your awesome laser-trap.
It is also smiled upon if you help out by grabbing planets off of attackers during wars. Aside from that..keep those money-making aliens working overtime ,)
