Well, this all started from the idea about having a galaxy where ppl could test their strats, test features and even practice their skills.
It is sad now that ppl are turning this into new Virgo and want exp players to come in there and start training newcomers. I don
I think tommie meant that Aquarius is supposed to be a simulation of a real galaxy like PW
i disagree with Zan..
i feel like the new comers need AD in order to learn and im more than willing to help them.. + try new strats... its obviously less competitive which is good for the new comers however, still gives them a good idea of how the game is played and what to do..
I think there is plenty of space for what Zan wants and an optional training gal as well... As Zan said, if you want to practice/train attacking strats and such like, then go ask whoever you want to attack, or attack your allies or own fam members... it isn't quite proper IC, but that isn't the point, even for training anyway... If I am trying to train up some new player, the last thing I want is some douche to come in and tak all our planets jsut because they can and my guy hasn't quite got the hang of things yet. I can correct his inadequacies by taking a planet and giving it back, but if someone else comes in and rapes us for heaps of planets, then that is likely to turn off said new player, which is an issue we have in IC anyway.
So if you want to go take everyones planets go play in mw and feel like a big man...
so if the guy has a attackless round in AD goes into the big world next round
and gets raped due to him not knowing what lasers are for... and all his planets go...
isnt that a bit more demoralizing when you have no "mentor" to tell you what really happened..
where as in AD you can live it all just in a smaller scale where he or she can expect attacks and attack himself.. just on a vaster scale in mw or PW.. no special treatment..
if you wana try new strats, what is holding a fam from ruining it in mw or pw... your strats are worthless if you arnt in the line of fire here..
Can't I test farming in AD so I know how to do it properly in a real gal

Metrex a& geese: Yes the new player who goes to AD and gets no mentoring and has no attacks made on them are worse off when they go into the real gals, but that siad they may of not learned how to explore andyway so problem solved since you can't touch their home planet!
Strats in the real gals do have to deal with idiots like you guys however in AD it is a good place to sort out theories about how things should work... I am not saying that attacks shouldn't happen, but it should eb a mutual thing, so you can get true defense and attack simulations...
In any case if you want to practice farming, go play MW...

How bout bigger fams with 4 draft spots. Spread the talent this way. Also much larger map, I had 3 fams within 4 ticks and got attacked on 21st tick this round and it weren't I had bad map position, that was just the standard for aqua d.
I say keep it open a couple more days.
I think it's going to take a few rounds for the idiots to get bored with the new playground and will move on, then we can get on with the serious buisness of strat testing and n00b training...
