hmm me thinks since after checking surrounding systems and finding out of all systems within 5 ticks only 3 are empty the other 7 are home bases BUILD UNITS BUILD UNITS BUILD UNITS

I look at map position like 2884 and think might as well have given him 100 planet home sys. Whereas i have no free sys arround me at all sad

The reason why i think we need a market is to allow attacking races.  If there is no market, then everyone would need to have positive income bonus, which limits the attacking capability.  You need either drop research to -30% or speed to 0% in order to have high income AND high attack bonus or take a predetermined race. 

I still prefer if we didn't have a regulated market though.  I was hoping to see the market determine who would have the best start.
