soccer isnt the 4th most popular professional sport in the US...

football, basketball, baseball, hockey, x-sports, speed boating, stock car racing, formula 1 racing, golf, bowling, even women's basketball and golf are more popular professional sports. Soccer is not taken seriously as a professional sport in the US, its a professional sport of floppers, not athletes.

the pic/story is fine. the /b/ channel in 4 chan is basically unmoderated with the exception of deleting of child pornography; you just dont seem like the type of person to look at the /b/ channel, lots of bad stuff posted there.

tongue no he was commenting on the soccer being fourth most popular sport. when in reality is one of the least. the majority of people who play soccer in the US are little kids and high school/middle school students who play other sports and use soccer to help improve them in other sports. hardly anyone who plays soccer in the u.s is doing it to play profesionally for later in life.

Also, the number of fans is directly proportional to how many people want to be in the player pool. we play sports that people watch here. thats how we are raised as a child. yes the "pool" for professional players to professional teams is bigger than speed boating, formula 1 and bowling, but thats becuase its an actuall leage.

Yes we have alot of population thats correct, but hardly anyone in that population wants or likes soccer. so cant really say we have a larger pool if most of our population hates the sport and doesnt want to play it unlike most european countries and etc etc where the sport is large.

i was just makeing a point that kids in our country dont have aspirations to play soccer later in life and the largest majority just use it to keep active while other sports are in off seasons
