Justinian, Flint is right. You are NOT a conservative, but neither a socialist. I would place you close to the political center, a bit to the right. You place yourself to the conservatives, because the US knows only the two party system with the two extrems. In a wider party system you may place yourself diffrent in the political spectrum.

So this means you want a society where the rich are exalted and the poor oppressed. which only adds to the list of problems the poor have to deal with. So please explain to me justinian how this is in the least bit empirically tested? Has this EVER worked in the past? Do this and you set yourself up for a violent revolution considering that 30% of America's population is considered working class.

What you believe doesn't change the fact that it's still a contradiction. ^.^ This country is based on the rights of man, that every person is created equal and has certain undeniable rights. Keep in mind that people can also be uneducated and still be successful and people can also be educated and be unsuccessful. A society will always have a lower, middle, and upper class. Even if very person on the planet were millionaires then the lower class would be those who have only 1m instead of 100m.
Personally I think there should be several things changes in terms of voting. Line voting should be removes, blindly voting for one party without any knowledge of the candidates is just plain wrong.

Fair enough. However, when we just compare with American conservatives, we see that they have moved further right over the decades. Just 40 years ago I probably would have been a clear cut conservative, and the conservatives like Flint would be reactionary nut jobs.

Well, the poor have always been at the bottom. The reason I don't want them to vote is because they are essential to a sick power network that involves unions, social reformers, and other left wing nuts. While those nuts do not care about the poor, they do want power. So right now we have people in our political process who are only elected because of their poor dependencies, and as long as they make noise now and then they will get elected again.
But otherwise, I would like to see the poor revolt. It's entertaining to watch imperial troops beat up hipsters and unwashed, uneducated barbarians.

the only real thing i saw that wasnt conservative was teh public schooling; which i definately disagree with. a lack of compeition makes teh schooling worse. each student should have money tied to them that goes to whichever acredited school their parents pick.
