Re: the use of ;

Best to use it for lists of things that have commas, like place names.

In my tool box I have: wrenches, metric and standard; screwdrivers, philips, hex, and standard; hammers; nails; and pipe bombs.

You could use it in regular sentences; though you could communicate better with a period and shorter sentences.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.
Steve Jobs has ruined this joke.

Re: the use of ;

As an english person, I can honestly say that most people here don't even know what the ; is called (semi-colon normally) - let alone use one properly. Darkmatt, just remember to spell the topic "English", not "Englich" on your exam where needed big_smile that could be one easy mark too!

Just out of interest, does anyone here know Icelandic, or any good books to assist with learning it? PM me in forums (if possible) or ingame as "Psychogenesis of PG Coco Pops" if you can help! Cheers!
