I'm glad you enjoy posting nonsense in response, Iluvatar. It's comforting to see an admission of ignorance rather than continued posting of complete garbage with no basis in reality. You post how you feel. You post how you feel the facts should fit together. You post how you feel the world should be. You post what you would like to pretend the facts are to best work in the world as you pretend it should be. Like Schniepel's last posts about "guts," ignoring the reality and facts of the situation in favor of what he reasons OUGHT to be the facts and reality.

I respect anyone who posts honestly and clearly. I respect many who disagree with me because they state clearly where they stand and what has led them to hold the positions that they hold. But posting how you feel things should be and statistics which do NOT support one's claims is just dishonest and juvenile. "Gun deaths went down after X regulation!" without mention of "violent crime more than doubled during the same period!" is not scholarship nor analysis; it's bad PR. So regulating guns has an impact on how often they are used in crime. Does it reduce crime? Does it reduce murder? These are the real questions. If you manage to reduce crimes in which guns are an instrument of murder while increasing crimes and crimes which involve other instruments used for murder you haven't accomplished anything but the opposite of your claimed intention. The enemy isn't "gun crime" and "gun murder," it's CRIME and MURDER.

I did not even address your juvenile incest comment. I'm not on your level and I'm not lowering myself to it. I can understand how it makes you angry that the facts do not support your position. But that's not the healthy response to holding a position not based in reality. Perhaps you should reevaluate your position rather than posting random insults toward a stranger on a forum?
