well.. i lost 66 droids against 7 soldiers.. so maybe its fixd

Some people complained about players/mods/dorks yelling/flaming. Do put things in context though:

1) The one complaining here is Artic (pretty much the only one, except Noir, but he jumps at any chance to wack the mods and be a dick)
2) Artic is a dick. (I really have no words that aren't considered profanity to describe Artic, I'm profoundly sorry) And why? Simply because, he's the kinda guy that leads a fam for a round, bosses them around, no one in the fam likes him, and in the end still deletes.
3) Artic is a horrible player: Can't fight his way out of a paper box. (How else could he NOT have noticed the soldier bug when attacking a whole damn round? Oh wait, because he let's other fams kill fleet of a fam's bankers, and then jumps in to vulture and take 200 planets, of which (!!) he pays 100 planets to the fam that killed the fleet in the first place, in return for a NAP (no IA, but lame nonetheless))
4) Artic claims he's one of the better attackers and has a gigantic mouth. With the above taken into account, that's sort of ridiculous. He's an opportunistic little weasel that knows jackshit about fair play and honesty. It sounds kinda rude, but frankly, he doesn't deserve any better than that.
5) And it's Artic complaining about mods getting an advantage (hey, we're in a text based game that won't matter one bit in RL, a game where the people left are just trying to have some fun and don't really care anymore about winning (it's kinda repetitive in the end, you know); especially (!) the mods who are here also because they like the people they're working their ass off for. They're not abusing anything

Point is, Artic's an idiot. And putting the topic here in that context, how can anyone (except braindead idiots like Noir) take him seriously?

What's gonna happen if soldiers do get to work properly this round? Are all those people that took droids to avoid being struck by the bug gonna get new races without droids? You won't hear artic complaining then ;-)

i dont like artic that much and his acusing ppl at cheating is over the top bot bashing artic isnt going to solve the prublem. no one cheated but once mods knew about the bug and stefan not doing anything about it a small warning to ppl in hq or announcment b4 round started is somthing that mods needed to do.
it does effect the game in a very big way and building 1m  fighters on a banker will look stupid when you are left with 29k of them after 10 attacks and loose all the banker planets in 1 tick. (i grant you he will have his hs).

i would love a vip but im going blind this time because im not really motivated to play atm except some messing around for fun :-P

Check bugs every so often.

Lesson learned?

Perhaps the good players that noticed this/looked in Bugs deserve to have droids.

@ Talic: I assume your comment was directed mostly at my long "PP-esque" type post While I am not defending nor encouraging Artic, I guess the point is, he is right that this bug should be fixed. I knew about this bug a long time ago in ICPG, but assumed someone had since fixed it (or else they would've made a formal announcement about it...). The fact that no one has is utterly appalling to me...

So no matter how you feel about Artic... We all want the same thing, for the game to be running bug free and for a universal announcement if in fact it is not. People wonder why IC is dying, well, let me ask all of you here, when you were a n00b, did you check the Bugs forum every day? Maybe I don't have an excuse, and maybe Artic, Noir, Talic, Iluvatar, Parrot, Skoe, etc, should've all known/ already did know better... But what about players coming out of Virgo?

I just wish people would set aside their differences no matter how much people hate a specific player. The fact of the matter is, whether a thread is posted by Joor or KT (who everyone seems to love) or whether it's by Artic or Arganon (who everyone seems to hate). If in fact they've got a valid complaint, we shouldn't ignore it (no matter how poorly and subjectively they happen to articulate it.)

With that said, Artic you realize the accusations of cheating are BS and don't help your cause at all right? If you're looking for empathy here, you went about it the completely wrong way, although I do appreciate you bringing the bug to everyone's attention.
