In Australia if a business racially descriminates like that they are spanked by the government. Hard. IIRC employers cant even ask you to fill out your race on a form.

It should be about finding the right person for the job, not trying to fill some rediculous racial quota.

Black Panthers chapters moved heroin, was that a conspiracy too?

My dad got a death threat from the panthers for running a catholic youth center in south central los angeles without permission. They weren't the soul of the black community done wrong by whitey.

Yes, that's how it happened. The way that it worked (or according to the research that I've done) is the black panther party started up in the 60's. They were a group of black guys who were tired of the oppression. They learned the law books down to every sentence and sought out to educate other blacks who were denied education and other civil rights. They wore black leather jackets and hats as their trademark and carried firearms with them whenever they marched for protection. This was because the police were assaulting blacks for absolutely no reason. This showing of power and legal rights inspired other blacks and the ranks of the black panther party grew and grew. This was at the time that Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon (Mr. Watergate) were in power and arguably they were of the most racist and corrupt presidents we've had.

The police, fbi and others became irate that legally there was nothing they could do about these blacks becoming more involved in politics and fighting for their rights so they figured out a way to bring them down the best way they could. They destroyed them from the inside. Not every black person was happy about the black panthers. See, some of them preferred to drink liquor and pimp women and do all of these illegal things. So the government (or corrupt people in it) reached out to these pathetic excuses for black men and set them up with drugs and weapons to deal throughout the community. These guys infiltrated the ranks of the black panthers and planted the drugs in the cars of high ranking members of the black panthers. They also planted dirty firearms on on them and set them up in other ways.

As far as aids go? Well I don't really know about that. There are theories but I have no idea what the truth is with that, but I have direct connections with the cocaine, crack, firearms and black panther situation so I know the truth about that.

The government also had dr. martin luther king killed and malcolm x. Basically anyone who carried a positive and motivating voice in the black community was targeted by the government and it won't change. President Obama's influence on the people of America is strong and it's only a matter of time before someone gets offered money or power to destroy his life or image.

That's the world we live in. And it's the world that still affects me and my family.

Uh, sorry, it wasn't that my dad got a note under the door that said "er uh we be the black panthers shut down o we kill yuh".  Some black guys came in, told the Salesian brothers they were Black Panthers, distributed some Black Panther literature (including a nice coloring book for the kids showing pigs in police blue getting beat down by Black Panthers) and then told my dad and his friends if they wouldn't answer to the Black Panthers, the Black Panthers would come back and kill every Salesian in the building.  1969 was a helluva year.

Reagan took office in 1981, the radical black power movement "jumped the shark" when Jesse Jackson was carried around the 1972 democratic convention in a dashiki and an afro.  after that it was about integration not confrontation or conflagration.  Black men won political office so long as they had a good haircut and wore a suit. So it goes.  You won't see Obama fronting that black glove look, or even the red-black-green.  He's where he is because he won't.

BTW in 1989 the Soviet government denounced that KGB inspired 'CIA started AIDS' lie

Oh and, was it the CIA who put the black community onto marijuana?  Cause that does more for black unemployment and imprisonment and organized crime than any other cause.  It must have been the CIA, I don't see how the black community would do that stuff to itself. /sarc

His proposal is certainly much more reasonable than "they sold drugs" and "they bought the guns". Because there are certainly no examples of that happening.

There are definitely very racist parts of America where whites HATE blacks.

There are other places like CA where whites don't give a damn for anybody including other whites.  And nonwhites are the plurality and they hate each other as much as the white man.  Maybe more.

That is why we got rid of affirmative action, because you can't have Indians suing Blacks and Japanese suing Mexicans for their "fair share".

Even if this WAS true, the no one can make you do anything by just giving you drugs or weapons. It comes down to the individual making decisions in their own life. At some point you have to throw out your conspiracy theories and take personal responsibility for your own actions. If you [] someone and get aids, it's your fault for [] them. If you shoot someone with a gun, it's your fault for shooting them. If you waste away any potential you could have had in life by taking drugs, it's still your own fault for taking them.

It's that basic and simple.

Hmm, there were some Black Panthers who used grease guns on a NYPD patrol car in the 1970s

But most MGs in teh USA in the 1970s used by criminals were stolen or smuggled from US army bases by the Mafia and the bulk KEPT here were by the KKK.   Most were run to the IRA.

Boston Mob especially had a major operation going shipping assault rifles to Ireland in the 1970s that the FBI finally broke up in 1982.

Henry Hill, of "Goodfellas" fame claimed to have a guy in the Rock Island Arsenal who'd ship him assault rifles for sale

lol That's not true at all. You're speaking based on the experiences and lessons taught to you in your life. It's like, if you're 7 years old and your parents come into your room and tell you to drink a beer and do this everyday till you're 10. Chances are you are going to grow up an alcoholic. For some people in this world, the influences around them are all that they know. Even if they develop the mentality in their adult life to say hey "maybe this isn't good for me or the right thing to do" it's likely not going to change because they've grown used to a certain thing.

This is the problem with gang violence. People often say that these kids have a choice but in most cases they don't at all. I know or have known people who were affiliated with gangs. They were approached in school by these gangs and were basically told that they  had to join or they'd get shot. And it's not like they can go to anyone because teachers can't help, the police can't really do anything because the justice system sucks and they have to continue to go to school everyday. They can't move to a new neighborhood because they grew up into poverty.

And once you're forced to join a gang, you can' t get out because either you get killed by your gang or a rival gang kills you. They don't forget your face. So you pretty much have to stay for protection. It's easy to say people have a choice in what they do when you're not in their situation.

A lot of times people are racist because they grew up and were taught to be that way all of their life. Sometimes things play out where people do have a choice but the majority of the time there is none.

Yep! The mob actually played a large role in a lot of stuff going on in the 70's, 80's. Especially with drugs and firearms. Supposedly people in the military were smuggling in merchandise in the dead bodies of vietnam soldiers too. Well, not in the bodies, but the bags they were carried in.

Yep. That's how it works. Not every gang, but a good portion of them.

Like the Latin Kings are affiliated with Columbian drug lords. There's a new gang that has about 700 known members but I don't remember their name.

Ummm.... Quite a few of chicago's gangs were working for mobsters as well.

Basically, as drugs became the hot commodity and more and more mob families were getting in on the action, they needed to cover as much territory and get as much business as possible. The best way to do this was to target high school kids.

This guy at my job was telling me about his personal experience as he's from Newark, New Jersey.

A guy in a fancy suit, car, etc. (you know how it goes) approaches some teenagers with stree smarts and ask them if they want to make some money. What poor person doesn't want to make money? lol Especially teenagers that don't like school to begin with. They get a group together and start recruiting. Now if 10 guys come up to you and offer you money or an ass kicking, then you pretty much take the money. But in these days, they pretty much carried bats , chains and knives. It wasn't all that often in the 70's for gangs to carry guns.  It's not smart. There also weren't laws about having a knife or bat on you. Guns is a different story.

High schools were perfect for gangs because they were full of fire extinguishers, electronic scales and other supplies which were essential for drug distribution.

Although, nowadays people have more opportunities in their lives so there's not a  whole of excuses a person can make for themselves of why they get into trouble. I grew up in bad neighborhoods and was approached by negative influences but I was in a generation where I could actually get an education and avoid some of these things. Especially considering that aids, drugs, gang violence is made aware in schools. 40 years ago it was all new.

And now we have automatic rifles hitting the streets.....
It's senseless.

Yeah the did. Can't say they still do as I never associated with anybody in that gang. Well I don't associate with gangs, they associated with me. I didn't find out who they were till after =p

But yeah, razors are usually hidden in the ass and the mouth. Not sure how that works though. Never cared to try it personally lol

You say the Black Panthers carried weapons for protection. You then say that after the rise of the Black Panther movement weapons and drugs were distributed by the government to pimps and drug dealers.

Where then did the Black Panthers get their weapons from? Because it seems to me that if the Black Panthers could get hold of weapons apparently against the wishes of the oppressive government, then so could anyone.

Equally, drug dealing was not invented in the 1960s and exists in other parts of the world where governments haven't been accused of distributing illegal drugs. So where did drug dealers get their drugs pre 1960s and/or in other parts of the world?

It's a mystery.

Clearly there was state sponsored racial discrimination in the USA up until the 60s. This is common knowledge, but there is no evidence for the government distributing guns and drugs to anybody. I also find it difficult to believe that government attitudes in the 1960s would still be holding people back today. Success in the modern western world is all about whether you work hard at school or not. If you don't, and you fail, you only have yourself and your parents to blame.

The black panthers bought their weapons. I never said at any point that anyone couldn't get weapons. But anyway, I'm not explaining this anymore lol I'm talking about what I know to be true and how it is still affecting generations today. Like I will repeat all the time, if you're not apart of something, you're not going to get it. It's about as useful as me talking about what goes on in europe. I'm on the outside looking in. So of course I don't know wtf I'm talking about.
