This is exactly the reason I'm taking a break from IC. There are over 1k players in the IC community actively playing with more coming and going. We come from all types of different backgrounds, cultures, nations, etc. We all have things going on in rl, we're all putting time in this game to win and/or have fun and sometimes emotions run thick.

Despite what any of you think, I stand by my decision to draft Gary, to buy him that vip and to have him lead my family. Yes, he said a few things to insult ppl. Ok, is that such a big deal? How many times have you guys lost your temper because of something going on around you? You guys don't know his personal life. He's in school, he's got relationship stuff going on, he was more or less thrown into a family of active players who don't communicate with each other and did all he could to make the best of it mid round.

Lietuva is/was one of the most temperous (real word?:p) ppl ever to play. All he ever did was flame and complain. Glue has had his moments. Naci, artic, PP, Flint, h4e, Kagar, monkeywrench, brandon, portgas, Scorp, Whiteshadow, tymo, cloud, beware, IC Death, etc. etc. etc.

I can think of 100 players off the top of my head now that had one or more rounds where they just unloaded on ppl ingame or in the forums. There are a lot of players here who have better control over their emotions and are blessed with more patience than others. Some ppl have to make a concious effort to develop it. Gary is one of those ppl.

I never asked him to suddenly become a lighthearted, sweet as candy saint. I just asked him to make an effort to become a better member of the community so that he could avoid these types of comments thrown at him. I think the fact that he even bothered making the post was proof enough that he tried. But I ask you all, what's the point of trying to do something if you're being pushed pushed pushed to go back to negative?

He is who he is and nobody can or should ask him to change. But he can tone down some of his antics some and that's what he's been doing.

Frankly, you're all being assholes. If we're condeming people for every single thing they've done despite what they are trying to do, then please proceed to make threads about yourselves.

Hmm Nolio, if that's true, then why did we try and rectify a minor dispute over one planet from like three days ago and we're still receiving attempted nukings? That's not some one who is trying to change. When I get mad in this game, I get mad for... half an hour? Maybe 2 hours tops. Not 3 days after we politely ask him to stop. lol. So yeah... stand by your decision, but Gary is off his rocker. Gary, if you're not, prove me wrong, and stop with the ops.
