Mmmh, after seeing more parts of the Palin, I'll calm down my comments, she's definitely looking bad because of the cut, questions and superior air of her opponent. Maybe this could show through and play in her favor.
On a sidenote, I heard on CNN that the Obama's camp might be thinking about attacking her on the two issues above (war with russia and bush doctrine), I feel this would be a HUGE mistake for them...
apparently a lot of liberals don't understand we pledged to fight if NATO is bombed regardless of who started it...
Yeah, this is just surreal. I mean what's the point of Nato? And the "Bush Doctrine" apparently trick-question is so stupid also.
(As to the Georgia thing, it's not the theme, all right. And if you see Iraq in 92 as you see Georgia in 2008, I don't think I'll start defending my point)
? We didn't tell Saddam to go into Kuwait in 1990, we hoped he wouldn't.
(Let's move that to the Georgian thread if you want.
Saddam did not go to George Washington university. USAID, Rand Corporation, Eurasia Foundation, Open Society, National Endowment for Democracy did not invest in Iraq. The US was not Iraq's main sponsor in everything. Iraq was in the top 5 of US money sent abroad per capita. Saddam was not about to potentially lose his biggest ally. US government wasn't spending much time in Iraq. Iraq was not pushed to enter Nato as quickly as possible. In a word: Saddam was not a US b*tch in 1990.)
Now, it appears that the comments about John McCain not being able to write an email in today's could backfire because McCain can't type on a keyboard... since the Vietnam torture.
Rofl, even if it's only on the blogs and not picked up by the campaign, it's still a nice gaffe. More justifications to come from Obama?
Golk you think, McCain handled the view well?? ![]()
i'll admit i didn't see it, i saw a buncha clips, like 3 or 4, if i was one of the ladies or even his wife, i would've RANNN
he seemed like he was guna BLOWWW and go KAAABBBOOOOMMMM lol ![]()
especially, when one of them said his ads were lies
, he turned all red .. LOL
and then you could see clearly he was about to blow and said with his cocky attittude
"they're not lies" not even looking even one of them in the eye
yeh i guess you could say, he handled it good with his ego ![]()
and Golk i don't care how tough the host was on Palin -- in her OWN words she has said, women should not complain if they get criticism, they should work harder -- anyways, she deserved a host that was tough, she needs to be tested, McCain was tested, Obama was tested, Biden was tested, even Hillary was tested, she will not get special attention -- and in my eyes Obama needs to come out and say this, CLEARLY --but offcourse he can't , cuz that's somehow sexist, actually not adressing the issue would be sexist, because all these feminist did not break their backs for women to be treated like they're special, they broke their backs for equality
The "Ladies" on the view acted just like a leftist would act.
Tell me....Gladiator...... You feel the "Ladies" on the view treated OBAMA the same way ??
For Obama 1st 3 questions.
Introduced how he is surrounded by woman.....and a plug for Obama's Book from Walters. ohhh.. how Obama is related to Brad Pitt. How he is sexy.
Wow.
ROFL....totally blew off Rev Wright.....and Obama talks, un interrupted for GOODDDD.....almost 2 min.
Ohhh... Walters agrees.
Walter's: Would you leave the Church if the Rev. Retired ??
Obama...ROFL....ofcourse he would leave.
Haas Attacks.....what about all the stuff he said....you still stayed in the church......
Barak.... I never heard or read the Revs stuff.
Haas: They are on his DVDs at the church.
Barrack.... I never bought or saw his DVDs....ROFL.
after that...they all step on her. She cant ask another tough question.
Softballs now.....
Whoopie...."barak Obama, Sir"
what are the first 3 things you will do.
Barak, withdraw from Iraq.
2. Legs for national Health care, we (govt.) will work to lower your premiums.
3. Deal w/Energy. by investing in alternatives. No drilling.
Next Bimbo: Kerry was swift boated. will you be able and ready to handle the republican attacks like that ? ROFL. what a softball.
Barak... I might be skinny, but I'm tough. .... ROFL. funny answer. he is a witty guy.
* * * * *
McCain on the view.....intro, and first 3 questions.
I tell ya...they look like sharks ready to attack McCain. No comments how dapper he looks, or wow, we really admire your life sir....nothing.
WOW !!!! right to the attack. he is on the couch, 30 sec.
Walter's: So, you say Palin is the best VP choice ever. Better than John Adams, better than.....etc ?? Isn't that a little strong ??
McCain: Trays to laugh it off, ... We politicals are known to exaggerate just a little bit. hehe....no, she is a great person, smart....yada yada.
Walter's: You chose her to Reform Govt. Republicans have been in charge. You have been in Congress years...is she going to change YOU ??
Walters is attacking.....what ...what.....tell us....what will she change.
McCain cant even answer....... McCain goes over the stump list of her resume.
Walter's Continues to talk over him....what what......McCain says...let me finish.
Walters....what will she reform.........
Man, what an attack......no laughing in the audience here.
OMG !!!
Behar: you know, I dont see the old McCain, the Maverick. You have become lock step with the Republicans, with the Bush policy....you seem to be running like the same old Republican. I understand why, you want to be elected.
McCain.... uneasy. Looking down. He for sure feels he is not welcome here.
"I have been over this before. He asks, how have I changed from who I am ?? I stand on what I believe. There is no secret about me.
Behar: Attacking McCain's Ad. Calling them Lies. "Do you support those adds"
McCain. Yes, I stand by them. He cant get a word in. They talk over him. The press him. "You have said lipstick on a pig."
Unreal.
Whoopie now: "Do you believe in church and state ?"
McCain: Sure
Whoopie: So, does it make you uneasy that Palin does not share that view ?? A whoopie set up here. She is IMPLYING that Palin wants Church in State.
McCain, doesnt bight. Basically talks about God, but not in state.
the Ladies are circling...not letting him answer...they are stepping on his talk, but he keeps going.
Whoopie, follow up: yes we have Christo/Judah ism beliefs, we have many more faiths....
Can you govern as God would have you or would you lead w/o church in state ??
McCain, all are free to worship as they wish. I pray everyday. I pray to be a good leader a fair leader.
man....o man.
Hass: As a Republican. She says, "You have my vote, but I will not give you soft ball." I have to admit. She hit Obama w/Good questions, and she Hits McCain as well.
"Will you work to overturn Roe (abortion)?"
McCain says, I will appoint Constructionist, Constitutionalist justices, I will not put ANY litmus test on them, including the issue of abortion. I want them to interpret the Constitution." ...... good answer.
Walters steps on him as he is speaking....MAN O MAN...shut up you Yentas !!!!
good follow by Hass: "So, you want the decision about abortion to come from the Bench (courts) or from the Legislature."
McCain....from the People, from the Legislature.....applause.
Whoopie says you want the constitution to be interpreted the way the founding fathers did ?? Should I be worried about Slavery ?
UNREAL !!!!!
did you copy your other thread post?
well i'll say it here too i guess, offcourse they were biased
if you were interviewing obama wouldn't you step in and ask the hard questions and lay back with mccain?
offcourse you would, so would i but with opposite candidates
actually......No I wouldnt.
I would do Like Hass the Republican did.
Be professional, and ask solid, important questions.
Hass acted like the seasoned veteran, asking both tough questions, and a good follow ups.
while Walters was a school girl w/Obama and a shark w/McCain. Not only a shark, but down right rude, stepping on him while he was talking.
well you're a humble man then BW
offcourse i think you wouldn't because human feelings take over
like for example
obama said: McCain is not a maverick, he's a liar, a cheater, he's not a maverick, he's more of the same, he thinks the economy is doing great, he thinks the fundamentals of the economy are strong, he thinks americans are whiners, he admits he doesn't know the economy, he can't use a computer, he's giving tax breaks to companies who outsource jobs
what would be your response?
I would say that Obama didnt say that.
lol
i'm serious, what would be your response if that was an actual situation with you being the host, and him the guest
i don't believe you would be unbiased, so proove it to me
he would not say that.
No candidate will EVER call another a liar in an interview.
PLUS.....
A candidate will focus on their position for the most part, not what the other does wrong... in thier opinion.
So, its a bad question.
Slavery was repressed by a formal amendment not a court
And I like how limbaugh does it,he says he's biased and it HIS show he has Bush on because he like Bush, he had Huckabee on after huckabee lost he has not and will not have mccain, either clinton or obama
BW
i didn't ask you if obama would say it or not, i didn't ask you what you think a candidate would say
i'm just asking what your response as an un-biased host would be..
What is your position on those items then Senator ?
Obama: why, thanks for being nice there BW, i would hate to have a host who rudly interupts me every now and then, say let's go golfing some time?
BW: NEVVORRRR ![]()
Obama: HAHA, not even if palin comes?
BW: sure, i'll come
Obama: i lied about palin, haha
BW: hmm that makes two of us...
![]()
btw, i would've probably just said "interesting" and then went on with the interview ![]()
Really poor video received on the fan list of Sen. Obama by Michelle Obama: http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/debate-watch-party/
Quite sad, uninspiring and not playing the 'Michelle' card. though I expect the strategists wanted to use her while downplaying the gender card, reason for such a result, and to continue the strategy of down-to-the-facts spots that were aired in swing state (the famous 2 minutes 'on issues' front travelling ad).
On the other side, McCain fans received an incentive to reach undecided by phone, a strategy that I find both risky (no control at all hence possibly damaging) and creative. I was suprised the McCain camp came first with the idea of organizing 'watch the debate' nights, considering the amount invested by the democrats on web strategy. (They were quick to follow though.)
Funny to note that after the economic issues favouring Obama (since the couple of terrorist attacks worldwide did not manage to penetrate the US households for republicans), the McCain camp seems once again better on the offensive, both with these moves and the McCain actual proposal (Romney, Bloomberg) on the crisis while Obama seem to sit a bit on its [rear part].
I find it interesting that after the 100 billion Obama has raised to the $10.37 McCain has raised, McCain is ahead in the polls...
Poor Democrats have buyers remorse.
Hillary is cackling in her cave right now, stirring her pot of corrupted souls and demon livers. She knows he is lost, and her chance is not quite over.
Wow. Just watched the Rick Warren cross interviews - not live, through Fox News video (yes, prensenting McCain on a better light but still):
He NAILS it.
I mean he's SO MUCH better than Obama it's mind blowing. Both
"McCain is ahead in the polls..."
what polls would this be?, obama's actually ahead in all battleground states(l5) except for two...he's ahead in almost all national polls
not that polls even matter this election...they do not account for new registers or people yet to register, one of obama's biggest voter groups
but as far as polls go, obama's up einstein
i didn't remember which thread we were talking about using other options other than just force...
but i didn't wanna open another thread ![]()
so thought i'd post it here

strong video, on john mccain, all the people in the video are conservatives...
Yeah how about that, all conservatives, because they left out Sen. clinton saying Iraq had WMDs. And Sens. Sasser, Schumer, Leahy, Daschle, Durbin saying the same thing. Also Barney Frank and Dick Gephardt and Madeline Albright and President Clinton. They left out all the speeches from 1998 when the Senate voted 98-0 that Saddam had WMD in violation of UN sanctions and therefore regime change in Iraq would be a goal of US foriegn policy. They left all that out.
Guess you forgot that in 2002 Senate Majority Leader Daschle was screaming "dirty tricks, dirty tricks" because Bush was going to put off the Authorization for the Use of Military Force in Iraq until after the Nov 2002 elections. He demanded the vote for war take place in October 2002 so Democrats could tell voters they voted to topple a madman. They did that because the CIA told them for years before Bush left Texas that Saddam had the WMD.
I was so glad to see the American war dead, who died so you could spam.

I clearly state that this mostly is about the "non-issues" that will in the end win the undecided, which I think is what both campaigns are after now that both bases are strong.
And of course, it's just MY opinion...
