Re: 2008 USA Election

i'd like you guys to name some other people please...
and bief..what does race have to do with anything???

and yell usually around this time politics-the race for the white house is almost always DEAD..like most of the times the campaigns don't have the money to be going around getting supporters, this is a different year,

and that money was well worth it, as a lot of people wanted news on obama's trip, not so much for mccain's trip
..k lets say CNN's big anchor had gone with obama and MSNBC's anchor hadn't...which news channel would obama supporters, possibly mccain supporters or undecided voters tune in to get obama's news?
offcourse CNN, because their well respected and overpaid tongue anchor was there, providing better analysis perhaps. Thus more viewrs, thus better ratings, thus more advertisement, thus more money big_smile

Re: 2008 USA Election

so i assume this thread is open to debate now wink

anyhooo its ignorant to believe that race does not have an affect on obama's performance as seen through the eyes of the media, and the rest of the planet for that matter.   It affects him in both ways.  there are those who will simply vote for him because he is black ie black liberals.  the media has taken such a huge interest in him because he is the only black man who is capable of winning the most powerful office in WORLD and that is a HUGE story.  if i were in the media i would prolly do the same thing.  more ratings means better price for advertising space and that means more money wink

Re: 2008 USA Election

Soth the struggles of Obama which include race offcourse, how could they not?...are what make his story a more exciting one..

and i won't go as far as saying there are more people who wont for him cuz of his race then there are those who would vote for him cuz of his race, but this is what i have a problem with.."there are those who will simply vote for him because he is black ie black liberals"
ever think they're voting for him because he's different or because he's liberal...why does it have to be they are only voting for him due to his race?? you don't know that...i know there will be some who vote for him because of his race, just like there were people who admitted they only voted for clinton because they wanted to see a female leader before they passed away.. many people were and are like that..

Re: 2008 USA Election

that whole "last chance for a female President in our lifetime" was total crap.   Apparently you can go from State Senator to 1 term in the Senate to Democrat nominee, so the field's wide open

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

yes, he will most definitely share it with his family where his daughters will eat it before he gets a chance to...

Re: 2008 USA Election

Obama has already lost. I mean heck, he gave more time to the Clintons at his 'acceptance rally' than for himself. Thats a man who will stare down terrorists, Russia, and rogue nations? Oh please... and voters will be seeing that, and much much more.

Re: 2008 USA Election

...if I were American, and if Obama were to privately and publicly go against the Clintons (but in a kind way), I'd vote for him instead of McCain.
...unless McCain would be more like Mike Huckabee.

Re: 2008 USA Election

Einstein that was only done to gather clinton voters and as soon as they were fooled..atleast some of them

she was kicked off..like she deserves.. the truth still remains that Obama single handidly beat the most globaly recognized political family
This was supposed to be Clinton's year.. everyone already thought that...

Now that's a man who will stare down terrorists...

and yeah Obama might not win...50/50 chance really, in that case, it might be for the good, the overspending will strangle america economically and maybe, maybe, just maybe then america will learn a lil bit about themselves

Re: 2008 USA Election

If Obama really did kick the Clintons off (both of them), including for possible political relationships and/or advice, then I prefer him over McCain.
They both take some serious stances I disagree with but both also take serious stances I do agree with.
Overall, if the Clintons are both publicly and privately out of Obama's picture, then I distrust him less than McCain.

Re: 2008 USA Election

why is your decision effected so much by the clintons?

offcourse if clinton was the VP, even i'd be a little pissed tongue
but a pig flying is more likely than clinton becoming obama's VP pick

Re: 2008 USA Election

what if McCain were to chose Lieberman as a running mate?  I dont believe it would be a good choice.  It would be like Obama choosing hillary has a running mate.
