Colorado hasn't farmed lately, Arby3. He instead just naps everyone and never fights a single family.
i have a feeling after this round i will be joining the complete opposite of this list been a really longtime since i have been a leader.

Damn, I haven't played seriously in long enough to notice then. Every time I was in a smaller family, always seemed like Colorado would come and decide that they would use their higher networth and size to farm us until they had 30-40% of our planets. My bad.
Every time I was in a smaller family
So like, every round then.
..
says enough right ![]()

cloud was an idiot his decisions would always get his family killed.
Colorado don't forget to have fun is bullshit. the moment you get wrecked you would become the biggest baby...

Haha, not always. I've been part of top fams and winners! ![]()
As for my opinion on "best" leader, I can't narrow it down. Most all the fams I've been in I usually get stuck with the pink, but tend to rule by committee. Allows for more people to feel involved in family direction and share their expertise and opinion, no matter how wrong they usually are.
I have not seen any inspiring leaders in IC for a while, I think we need some new players.
So what's the problem then.
Is it not rewarding enough to be a good leader? How can we drive the good leaders out of the woodwork and come forward to take charge of fams and lead them?
Two rounds ago I lead your family Torqez and I personally had a very enjoyable round, I led my style and the reward for me was having a strong self sufficient family. The issue is the quality of leaders and the styles of play which is ingrained into peoples mindsets. How can you learn to be a good leader if you do not have a good leader to learn from ? Players are just learning to make too many naps, to fight for only 1 day at a time, to pay planets without reason. Players are not learning the concept of fighting fairly or seeking the reward in taking on families bigger. Everyone is too scared to lose everything. How do we fix this requires a long conversation between people who can fix this game, which I don't see happening.
That's my point though. There "are" people who know how to do this. They're just not here anymore (e.g. some of the names in this thread), or can't be bothered (e.g. you - potentially!).
So the question is, how do we bring them back. Or, how do we ensure there's a good reason to be leading a fam and rewarding wins.
Maybe, address something like this:
Everyone is too scared to lose everything.
Personally, I'm thinking PMode needs to be fixed as a priority.
Also, what do you mean by this:
How do we fix this requires a long conversation between people who can fix this game, which I don't see happening.
Those that 'can' (potentially) fix the game, don't necessarily know how - me included. We're always open to ideas though. Some aren't as practical as others though.
Leaders don't need rewarding, I don't play IC anymore because it's a game going backwards, not forwards and because each round is full of the same rubbish as the round before. I showed you how I lead, and I wish others would do the same. But I'm guessing the lack of players or lack of competition isn't helping.
The main problem Torqez is that leaders are not really hands on leaders, they are too diplomatic. I feel like any player who takes leadership does so for the recognition, not because they are capable.
I could give you 100 suggestions Torqez, but I feel each little change to IC is not having a big enough impact, a big change is needed, and mods need to start getting more realistic about this.
id say Orbit wud of been one of my Favourite leaders along with HydroP had some good rounds with them two and ill give Pitbull a thumbs up aswell and good ol Colorado when hes not whinging about me killing him ![]()
All those names, good old leaders, "old" means they have a lil time to dedikate to this game bkause its not like when you were 20 years old with no responsibilities and you kould be hanging on komputer a lotta time a day, and a good leader job requires kompromise & dedikation & aktivity.
Imo we dont need the 'old' leaders teazhing people how to play, any new player should learn from the start all the faktions of the game and work to bekome a great leader, so learn for himself. But this is not the szenary we have this days, the same mistakes are repeated round by round, with big maps that allow families to ezplo and infrawhore most part of the round and even the full round, making naps early and avoiding any konflikt. That goes direktly against the IK fighting spirit.
A.E. I joined startbust and leading a family and I rezeived a nap offer even bfore the round starts, and that leader wants me to respekt a kore of 75+ systems ??? Wahts this? why are new leaders allowed to think they kan have a kore of 75 systems without a fight?? Bekause mods are allowing it, by setting this BIG map with a lot of spaze between families.
So it is a responsibility of the mod team to setup the things to help new players learn the 'konflikt' szenario and not the 'infra' szenario, only then we'll be able to meet new leaders and forget about the old-gone leader that wont kome bak (mainly bekause the game is different now and single aktions take a lot more time than before, thanks to stefan)
no offense, Render, I skip reading all your posts because your typing is so annoying. you seriously need to get new keyboard.
Droids DK. He was still leading, i think, last time i was playing (not fam i was in)... So we can call him "active" ![]()
TNT and Torqez were good too.

True part. Leadership requires too much activity. Actually, this game requires a lot of activity in general to succeed. So young active blood is needed. But young blood is joining fams, where old vets are "leading their way". And fam bank strat does no good for it too, because they jumps old known bankers and attackers first, leaving new people to last.
I am sure myself, banker-attacker teams are much more fun to play really, for new players especially. But it is fact, whole fam strategy works better for a fam (if fam works together).
Sorry Torqez, i prolly went off topic a bit.
Touched by the people that mentioned me, iv been away due to family commitments, moved country and new house and job ect nice to know I'm appreciated as a leader ![]()
Well I'm trying to get in a galaxy but all I can join is the S'S gal, won't let me in another??
I'm back anyway, going to ease back into ic now the summers over, nice look ic has now, I like it well done mods/devs
Lee!
welkome bak
about the new look...well *kough* start to play and then you'll see ...
Varlokas!! One of my the best IC players of all time, in my opinion ![]()

100% agree with you!!

Wrong. That has nothing to do with the mods. The reason why they think it's acceptable, is because a lot of the fams just give up and don't know how to fight. They don't know how to take charge, lead a family and fight a war. They want the easy way out and so accept the NAPs, even if it's not in favour for them.
This is happening time and again, which is why people come in and ask these kinda things.
Yes, map is an issue - but that's got nothing to do with this. The Map, comes from feedback from the players too - least they have been for the last 3-4 rounds (and earlier too, but less noticed). Eg this map in Starburst this round, is based purely off what players want. No mod really had an influence at all. So yea, you're wrong about this being about the mods. Have you even seen the Feedback threads about it? No, I guess not.
So yea, getting back on topic, what this "is" to do with, is the leaders of the fams. If that kind of NAP is acceptable, then it's up to the leader of the fam. Which goes back to the topic of this thread. Where are the good leaders gone, and how can we either get them back, or help create new ones.
Out of your entire post, you did make 'one' good point though:
and a good leader job requires kompromise & dedikation & aktivity.
How do we fix this? That's my question.
We want this game to require less time, less energy, yet still be rewarding for people to be wanting to do it (whether that be just the satisfaction of getting people to work together and do stuff - like Orbit said).
That, is the real issue, imo.
yepp T your right I had 2 fams ask for a core nap before round started I told em no my fam will fight for our spot and core.
