I'm fairly sure that you don't have to vote according to the party you're registered under lol
Wow...
New York City is flooded badly, fires rage unchecked.
Conneticut Governor just said 'go to your roofs for safety' in a manner reminiscent of Katrina.
The situation in New York City is grim as one hospital is on fire and the fire department cannot reach it and as another hospital lost even its back up generators and is now being evacuated down flights of stairs.
Ground Zero, subways, sewers are all entirely flooded out and a super-fund toxic canal has broken past its banks. Some area's are under 4 feet of water.
First reports of deaths coming in as well.
This is just the early reports.
As all Democrats know New York City votes 85% for Republi.... errr Democrats. As Upstate New York is not becoming part of the new Atlantis this could change New York to a Reublican vote for this election.
Conneticut being to small to differentiate but it cuts into Obama's popular vote. New Jersey will sink or swim on their Governor's actions and this will skew votes to Republican. This is only the first few hours
inb4 sandy is proof of god's divine intervention
Every time Chris Christie opens his mouth I want to shove him into it
"Iiiiiii warned you! I WARNED YOU but did you listen to me? OH NO you had to stay! Well to hell with you! I wash my hands of you! If you can hear me you just have to squat there! And think about how you totally, totally blew it not listening to me!"
But he talks like I would expect you to if made Governor...
hmm maybe that's it, I used to be suicidally depressed
Maybe it's a Jersey thing

natural disasters are very good PR before an election. Former Chancellor Schroeder (1998-2005) won the 2002 general elections in Germany because a flood had hit wide areas in the german east close to the elections. the media only showed Schroeder carrying sandbags here, talking with victims there and rallying support. Many governeurs in the affected areas were in oppossition but in the crisis switched to support Schroeder. Obama does the same. Chris Christie already switched sides while all cameras are locked on the area. NYT calls for Big Governments in times of crisis. The old infrastructure (e. g. electricity) needs days for repairs. Romney and his message can only lose atm.
How long before Obama and Romney promises blank checks for the rebuilding effort?
What im taking from this disaster is that there are actually a few sensible republicans left in their party (christie) that care more about solving problems than the next election, that care more about the people than their battles. Good man.
All is saved!
In New Jersey, you can now vote by email or fax. No chance of fraud there!

voting there now
Simon, unfortunately with the US economy as it is - a blank cheque is all they can offer!
Good one, Mace!
