There is no contradiction. Capitalism can not thrive unless the government provides legal services that enable it. Since the government must finance these services with taxes, taxes are not necessarily bad for capitalism. They become bad when they crush incentives, due to high taxes for example.

The fact is you owe taxes to the government and they punish you if you don't pay them. By definition, taxes are a liability. What's bizarre is thinking you own the money forcibly seized from you and have no say in how it's spent.

There is no conclusion requiring that the purpose of life is to serve the government. It might imply that might makes right, which I sympathize with, but that does not stop the people from rebelling when their government becomes intolerable.

And thanks to the requirement and Obamacare costs a second Catholic University has dumped its insirance for Students and the requirement they have insurance.

You're overgeneralizing with the word "taxes."

Taxes to regulate the system and enforce reasonable laws may legitimately be described as a "liability" to members participating in the system; who bears this burden of "liability" is open to debate.

Taxes wasted on thousands of completely bullshit programs may not be legitimately described as a "liability." Nobody is responsible for paying bureaucrats to waste money on corruption and idiocy.

To overuse the word "taxes" to mean both of these things, you miss the point that the second (which is the majority of what taxes are spent on) is not necessary nor beneficial to capitalism. It's a drain on capital/wealth, and is thus is hindrance to capitalism and people's standard of living. It's not anyone's liability; it's theft.

Equivocation is fun! I don't entirely disagree with you (obviously), but damnit there's nothing else to do on this troll-filled forum! w00t w00t
