Upon closer examination, it seems my crappiness this round is due to not working over the market to generate extra funds.  As well as my random activity etc.
I'd not have had a market.  When I suggested this format for a gal way back when I actually did play, I wanted no market because people played it for funds which I considered to be: a). a 'new school' skill that had no place in an old fashioned  SS galaxy, and: b).  more about obsessive activity and other players input to the market than your own empire managing skills.

This form of market gives the same playing field to everyone, but not everyone is going to buy up resources to sell them later when the market feels like going up.
Having a fixed market all round isn't a great compromise.  You'd have to carefully select the prices of resources.  Make iron too cheap and people won't bother building mines when they can get an endless supply at say, 8gc all round.  Make it higher and it's potentially a better investment than CF's.  I'm sure a balance between buy price for later round fleet jumps, and a sell price for early round income/growth could be found to ensure a cash only or res only strat isn't better than the mixed ss strat this gal is intended to be (at least imo it is).
I'd be happy with no market at all, it's too open to people taking advantage, but fixed prices would be an okay compromise.

I wonder how many of the people who complained the chance of market price movement wasn't high enough in the aborted rounds were doing so because they had this particular market activity as part of their strategy...

It's been an interesting experiment, and I hope the galaxy comes back in a refined form at some point in the future, because I will probably return to retirement until that happens after this round.  The regular gals are full of intense obsessive people and I don't find it enjoyable to play there.  Not that this one isn't, but I haven't been attacked by them yet.  Indeed I've lost 4 planets all round so far.  I've been fortunate to land in good company.

And FA, Danny you guys stand just couple ticks and deleted. Try to play next time.

so Broker = Miro, very nice, welcome to my list, now what about posting the msgs I sent you previous to those funny blackmails??  Because if you use forums to denounce me in some form you should tell the complet story.

People who knows me also knows I have to be very angry/dissapointed/shocked to send stuff like that, you obvious played too dirty, chose to abuse on a proffessional whiner like me. Most people would have deleted, nor I, I play the game, and this is the 1st time I get killed in SD, not in a MAN to MAN, not SS at all when you need all your family to hunt me down gangbang mode.   
Cheers and welcome now I get an idea of how you won the previous SD rounds, sadly for you, this one wont be yours.

Noobs shouldn't be playing in SD anyways. HC would imply you should know what you're doing. It's all a bunch of crying to me.
