OFC one of my players has to delete after galaxy closes
if they are inactives, they not gonna do you any good anyway? i think its good, now all these pussy deleters who get in a temper tantrum can't rejoin and just look to bugger up other people's rounds.
lol 14 had to invest heavily to be able to reexplore again with 13 2 tick to our core watching every new expo after we hit them, the hit on growth was massive. But we are coping.

maybe add a 48h notice clause as well... or possibly 72h, maybe make it permanent...
then we might as well add swap outs and a compensation clause...

lets make it something like, 6-10 families, having a cluster of 10-20 systems dirrectly around them. and then outside that cluster there is possibly randoms or no systems at all with a distance of 4 tics between the family clusters and 6-8 tics to the koth cluster. once entering the koth cluster all families can be killed off. no agreements of any kind, shared systems without conflict should be investigated. and for a kicker have something like every other planet in KOTH be a morale planet. this part is obviously not needed but could be fun
reasons i say this are, the clusters around the families are obvious, it makes for even planets for families to build thier infra up and not have to worry a lot about early wars,
also if it were just that family was HC when they expoed into the KOTH systems its obvious what would happen, that family would be raped by everyone else.
1) Fams should be allowed to fight eachother
2) Fams should be allowed to protect themselves by securing some peace agreement
So, a Core NAP is the only nap allowed. The core NAP allows a maximum of 10 systems to be protected, anything outside of those systems is up for grabs. This allows big fams to have a good core and grow which they want to, but also means the big fams will have to fight eachother, they cant simply have all out peace between eachother.
This would be ideal if two fams are placed close together, they can protect there main infra but they can fight for spread/positioning. Plus many other benefits ![]()
u need somthing in place cus atm u have never ending wars, kinda like pringles, once u pop u just cant stop.
thats why there needs to be no morale than wars end quicker..
and you should be able to kill ppol of then rounds are shorter..

Changing the rules during the round? no plz. Leave it as it is and change it before next round.
Next time, make it so leaders have to pick their fam out of player pool.. and make it hc imo

Why would it matter if it took time..? everyone could have a chance to be in a decent fam, not just the ones that are lucky to get a good random.. and since the rounds take so long that would be a good thing imo.. (I'm assuming the round isn't anywhere near from over?)
A lot of people are posting ideas but not explaining why they should be implemented.
Why should the map be bigger?
Why should the hill only consist of 4 systems?

I agree on a few things. No cf's or naps should be allowed, why would they be? Naps ruin this game, i hate them and i personally feel like they should be completely disallowed. All they have ever done is keep large families from having to fight each other until one of them deems it convenient.
The amount of "clean" systems available to each family should be evened out, and the distance to the hill should be even. It seems like with the circular system this should be very close to equal, but it might not be quite there.
Serenity, there is no point whatsoever in disallowing ingames between families. One way or another, people will find a way to talk.
Why should ds be disabled in the hill?
Because like this it is impossible to take hill systems. Planets in hill systems are generally laser trapped and portalled. That plus the DS makes it almost unbeatable if you don't want too lose too much fleet and the cost of the fleet. unless you wanna spend hours using DU.
simple way to get around DS, go and kill the other families economy, ruin their infra and take all their planets. then, go for the DS, by this time, you'll be a lot bigger, then you can DU and get enough bombers to kill the lasers. takes time but some wars do take time.

also about the naps you definitely cannot allow it now as a lot of fam suffered by going into war they cannot avoid. but for next round a bigger map will help.

srry I have no time to read all ur posts but I'd like to do an adition, this I posted in ideas not long ago:
A good adition imo would be to allow alliances, quartet alliances to be exact, and allow ONLY permanent naps (so people will think it twice before signing).
Also the map could be bigger yes, 4 sectors and a 1 hill in the middle of each sector would be nice (so 4 hills only to win the game).
Then 4 fams equidistantly placed in each sector, that makes a total of 16 fams x 15 players in each fam.
The alliances should work like this -> you cannot ally fams in your sector, your 3 allies must be placed in the other 3 sectors (1 ally in each). This would turn the competition in a 4vs4vs4vs4 all the way long, and the winner is a quarter alliance (not a single family) when the 4 hills are controled by people in a same alliance.
And the current map could be used for the next SD round (its perfect for SD yikes) so Ps work isnt wasted icon39
