Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

No, you're right to say something if it bothered you.
It didn't came to my mind I was getting godlike

and yeah you and aro can use the tunnel system of course, but I find you first have to search for entrances, since it has been dug out by cultists.

or blow holes in the ground, whatever, you get the point

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

I'm Space Marines, blowing holes in the ground sounds much more fun then 'searching'.

I didn't know how many Roderik had with him, so I had both sides take heavy losses. WOOO First in-depth fight between Loyalists and Chaos marines!!! tongue

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

oy Lync you wanna take over zangus as an npc cause i'm really getting confused with it.
i may rethink about my eldar position

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

What exactly are your problems with the story?

And for my part you can reenter as Eldar. This story must be fun to all participants.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Agreed. Plus Zangus's arrival made the sides more fair for the Chaos any ways.

yeah i think so to
and i was getting confused by it

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Lynceus was using two persons as his chars and he didnt cleary showed where the two change.

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

I did so

how could i have made it any more obvious?

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Oh and Chaosdarkmech: I like your eldar, they add a lot of atmoshpere in my opinion

btw: Yngir are necrons I suppose?

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Make dubble enters

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Yngir are indeed necrons. But i dind't say they had entered the conflict.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Yeah i know, just to be sure what you're searching for

aro: double enters is cheating, changing characters must be clear from the text itself.

note:

There is also mention of a "Dark Crop" which the C'tan planted on a backwater world near the edge of the galaxy. It has been speculated that this "Crop" was either the Tau or Humanity, and therefore accounts for the Pariah Gene, but not for humanity's psychic connections. More Likely Tau, as they have a limited connection to the warp.

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%27tan#C.27tan_and_other_races

Maybe Aro and Darkmech can work this into the story, since Aro's Taus are digging for something, and Darkmech states that there are necrons on the planet.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Story is becoming a bit hard to follow. yikes

Je maintiendrai

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

i'll summarize for biefstuk wink

Tau: big camp on the eastern edge of the city, and a digging site in the midst of the eastern part of the city.

Space marines: heading from the southeast towards the spaceport in citycentre.

Chaos: main force has retreated in the north (mix of Iron Warriors and Alpha Legion), Roderik is leading a small force in the southeast. Ulric is observing the Tau digging site in the east.
Cultists are spread in small numbers throughout the city as NPC

Sisters of battle: camp between the spaceport and the Tau digging site in the east.

Eldar: somewhere outside the city

Imperial Guard: Whiped out for the most part?

this is how I see it. correct?

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Lynceus remove referance to the warp portals. Godmodding.

"aro: double enters is cheating, changing characters must be clear from the text itself."

I've seen it used in many stories, fan fiction and other.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

@Aro
as is said, between me and lynceus we where invincible. Now the others have more of a chance.and imade it very clear that Zangus wasn't going to survive so now it's up to the imperial forces or the other chaos palyes to finishhim of

neither man nor machine can withstand the fury of winter

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

I dont think you understand, I want the refrances gone because he only mentioned them after you introduced these. He could have used them if he had posted about one before. You introduced them and Lynceus magicaly seemed to know where they were.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Aro, stop whining, jesus christ

If chaosdarkmech wants to play as an eldar, he needs a reaon to come to the planet. His reason is destroying a warpgate. Then so be it.

My reason for coming was to get back to the eye of terror. Now the ship is destroyed, i need to find other means to do so. And as far as I know, chaos can only return to the warp, besides the eye, via warpgates. So i try to find one. I clearly stated that i don't know whether there actually is a warpgate, but are looking for evidence of one since it's my last hope.

and if there would be a working warpgate on the planet, I would have known of it since the beginning. Conclusion: it's not working anymore and needs reactivation. conclusion: I can't summom reinforcements from it, or know where it's located. So how's that godmodding?

I'm curious what skywarps opinion will be

and about the double enters: I personally find it cheating. I don't care where you saw them. just as i'll never use the '()' in a story.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Since I dont know everything about warhammer I didnt know that was ur only shot or that you were able to sense it.

And the eldar are still in orbit.

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

well theproblem with warpgates is that noboy knows where they are besides the eldar .I mean noteven the dark eldar know where they are .
And one of the main goals of the tau is finding an activated warpgate .
and as for chaos using thewarpgates , well it never happened in thesense that eldar have the farseers at their disposal who know which should be deactivate and destroyed. In the end whati did was give you lot some new goals to live up to.
so there is at least one warpgate which is now vital to evrybody .Even the empire would like the technolegy.

And the sensing part not even chaos can't do that so get that idea out of your head lynceus. you can sense the warp that you can but only when it's beeing used.
So i'm there to deactivate it

neither man nor machine can withstand the fury of winter

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

yes, I said i COULDN'T sense it.

but once it's activated, can't my daemon Thordrik sense the warp emissions that will come from the gate? (I'm asking you, I don't know it)

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

'I'm curious what skywarps opinion will be' >Lynceus

My opinion is that we need to stop fighting in the OOC Thread and leave it for the story. I don't care that there's a warpgate, because it doesn't affect me right now. The Templars have one goal: Drive out the Xenos.

And yes, once the warpgate is activated, a daemon would be able to sense the energies of the warpgate. The Eldar already know its location and the Tau are looking for it. I'm the only one not looking for it tongue

And yes Lynceus, the IG is now a handful of soldiers used to guard the final hiding places.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

at leastsomeone who knows his warhammer40k
and Aro that fact that i mentioned the warpgate isnot something uncommen.
Nearly everyplanet has at least one.even terra had one but that was destroyed pretty early on , even before the emperor in order to remain at completesecrecy

neither man nor machine can withstand the fury of winter

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

What are you guys' sources for knowlegde about w40k?
mine is primarily wikipedia, are there better ones?

and chaosdarkmech, where do you get the Eldar language? like Yngir and Monkeig.
