Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

You are overdoing it a little. Two shots from any orbital bombardement blow anything away above ground, blocking pathways to lower levels. Further more you are scanning from the ground level. Meaning that you cannot scan the ground levels because of the buildings. So stealth planes could still attack you entering the city very low to the ground. I'm not even sure if you could see stealth planes on radar since they are ment to be stealth. Maybe heat signatures but not radar.

To add to that your array is above ground and will get blown away with the next bombardement anyway tongue.

And why is your cultist group super awsomme soldiers masters at urban combat? Actual chaos cultists are the lousyest soldiers(although they dont root unless their leader dies) only capable of charching from everything I've read about them.

Your cultists have never seen combat and if there isent one of those bigger guys around they would root faster then you could say 'chicken shit'.

Pushing the boundaries of godmodding.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

1
You say yourself you haven't orbital bombed the city itself, and are not planning to do so

2
those scanners consist of every possible sattelitesystem. They're hightech Imperial shit

3
Attacking the spaceport by air would mean devestating casualties ofr your plains

4
The cult has been underground for over a thousand years. They've learned the hard way of hiding. + They're lead by the Iron Warriors, masters in siegeworks and traps.

5
it's fiction. Come up with some ideas yourself to counter

6
and otherwise there wouldn't be any fighting, you could simply rush the spaceport, and afterwards encircle the Imperials and blow them apart. You've got Orbital outside the city, comlete air-superiority, endless reinforcements, ...

Like I said, these ships are made to be invisible.

"3

"
And I said how do you see through buildings?

And I do reserve the abilety to use light bombardement. As I will do with the tower.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

if your plaines fly between buidlings, my cultists will hear them

or are they aslo silenced?

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Even if you could hear them they would be traveling too fast to accuratly forward their position in order to get a firing line. But I'm not sure they are silenced.

To settle the arguement about orbital bombardment, the Imperial Fleet is still here... it ins't rare for them to wipe out cities to stop Xenos.

And 'Hello' Borg, my Templars are just getting ready to beat some Xeno ass, you sure ya don't want to join in?

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Lol the Kroot aren't retarted and neither am I, this abelety was reported long ago by a commander and since then Kroot are not allowed to eat anything but imperials. And those Imperails get their body inspected by them each time.

And dont those Kroot change their appearances then regular ones?

What are these cloaking devices everyone seems to be using? Taken directly from DoW or something? They don't really exist, you know. tongue

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Yeah I mean seriosuly... if any one had them it'd be the Imperium or the Eldar... but not the Chaos.

This is to Lynceus and [RPA]chaosdarkmech:

I'm sorry guys, I'm trying to keep going but this is getting rediculous. Super powerful armor, portals to the warp at any time, cultists that can take down Space Marines, turning hundreds of Kroot against the Tau, having invincible defenses and backing it up by saying 'they are masters of defense'... except they are on foreign territory, have no building supplies and seem to be conjuring AA guns and artillery out of the air (couldn't get it from me or Aro since you always say to target artillery and blow it to pieces)

Not to mention super scanners that just 'appeared', a tunnel system that some how neither the Tau or Imperials have entered (they aren't that dumb), random attacks where you kill a few hundred Imperials, a thousand Tau and lose less then half of our losses? And why, cause you have cultists (WORST UNIT IN THE ENTIRE GAME). Also a bolter rifle would shred a normal human, Vespidians carry guns meant to blast through Space Marine armor and a Kroot could tear a human apart pretty easily one on one. None of that factors in with you guys.

... this IS godmodding. If it keeps going, I'm going to leave cause the more stuff you guys add to make it more fun for you, the less and less I'm enjoying this. And I'd be willing to bet plenty of money that Arocalex agrees with me.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

The Tau have stealth units and fighters. But the chaos in DOW had the INFILTRATION abillety. Which is to point out not the same as stealth.

Lynceus take away the scanner since they are useless on the ground, the stealth, and traps since you cant have enough time to build those. Also take away a few layers of defence.

You were supposed to be a hit and runner continuesly running around from us but you seem to have become another faction.

About the fleets: The Tau have engaded several planets in several systems so there is no unstoppable force above the planet. But It would be enough to  beat the local garrisons of the imperials more then enough. AFter the Tau realized there was a bigger fleet they sent in some reinforcements to deal with them aswell and now they are like two goats beating into eachother once in a while.

So I cant call in infinate amout of orbital bombardements and nether can skywarp.

And from here on out don't battle a group without trying to get in touch with the guy to see if its ok first or post it here to discuss it first. Or better would be to only post very small fragments and let the other guy decide what his units do. Not an entire battle.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

okay

the cloaking of cultists and marines was indeed taken from DOW, but i'll let it dropl then. No cloaking of chaos from here on.
The scanners made part of the spaceport, but now I've left the spaceport so I won't be using it anymore, along with the defences.

Chaosdarkmech is now defending the spaceport, and I have 2 hit&run parties just as originally intended.: Ulric with twenty marines int he east, and Roderik with a squad of bodyguards and a squad of marines in the south.
So I've got no vehicles or anything (except that single thunderhawk).

The tunnel system with all the cultists must stay there in my opinion. I've added some background for them and it's justified I think. However, I won't be using them anymore. They are some kind of allied NPC to me (just like the IG in the beginning) and can be used as cannon fodder by anyone. Think of them as the new IG.

Srr for the godmodding, didn't meant in that way. I hope this will again be a fun roleplay for everyone.

Is it okay for you guys like this?

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Still I want you to remove all mention of the cloacking the scanners and the AA.

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Yes, the cloaking is gone, like I said. And nobody uses the scannertower anymore.

But in the beginning of the game, I entered with some predators and dreadnoughts. They act as AA fire in the spaceport. It's no more than fair since you've got complete air superiority. Otherwise Zangus is sitting with his pants down.

Is this okay with Skywarp?

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

Its not supposed to be fair since you are like I said the small dude running around the two grown ups. If they do then you should say so but I dont think these units are good in this.

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

What's you guys opinion of my last post?

(ps aro: check uwe gsm)

Re: The New Tau: Sign up and OCC thread

I like it, and thanks Lynceus for making the changes. The tunnel system can stay, but (if it's cool with you) I plan on having the Space Marines enter it at some point.

And yeah, the AA is fine with vehicles and stuff, but I just didn't like it being impenitrable. And don't worry, I don't intend on taking the hangar in one fell swoop, or blowing it up (like Aro said, me and him would have to duke it out in space to even get in position for an orbital bomabrdment any way)... but we'll get to that... So we're good, IG and Cultists are now the official cannon fodder of this Rp tongue

Thanks for being cooperative Lynceus, and I hope I didn't seem too mean or angry about it sad

Now, on to the fun smile
