ROFL
I will let you save your money.
Solid Victory for Obama. 6 of the 8 Democrats voted for him.
from the march 2008 Limbaugh Letter
Who said it? McCain or Hillary?
1. "I think that there's some greedy people on Wall Street that perhaps need to be punished."
2. "I voted against the tax cuts because of the disproportional amount that went to the wealthiest Americans. I would clearly support not extending those tax cuts..."
3. "It's shocking that there is such a continuing political pressure to lower tax rates on the wealthy."
4. "I cannot in good conscience support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us at the expense of middle-class Americans who need tax relief."
5. "[W]ith all due respect, do the billionaires in America need more tax cuts?"
6. "We have this class now of professional corporate managers who...believe their No. 1 obligation is to secure the biggest possible pay package at the expense at everybody else."
7. "The road toward campaign finance reform has been a long one, and we have not achieved final victory. But in passing this legislation in the Senate, we have taken a major step forward."
8. "The scientific consensus is clear: human activities are increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, causing our planet to warm."
9. "[C]limate change, in my view, is real. It can affect states like Florida dramatically because I think it has to do with violent weather changes, as well."
10. "Suppose we do nothing, and we don't eliminate this $400 billion dependence we have on foriegn oil. Some of that money... contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. Then what kind of world have we given our children?"
11. "[T]he real victims of global warming will be our children, and their children, who will inherit an earth suffering severe environmental consequences."
12. "As far as ANWR [Arctic National Wildlife Reserve] is concerned, I don't want to drill in the Grand Canyon, and I don't want to drill in the Everglades. This is one of the most pristine and beautiful parts of the world."
13. "Protecting America's vast environmental treasures, such as our National Parks, National Forests, and [ANWR], is a bipartisan tradition stretching back to Teddy Roosevelt."
14. "As a matter of policy, [torture] cannot be American policy, period...[T]here is very little evidence that it works."
15. "To make somebody believe that you are killing him by drowning is no different than holding a pistol to his head and firing a blank. I believe that is torture."
16. "I have been an agent of change in Washington. I know how the system works."
17. "I thin I am an agent of change. I embody change...I believe I am more prepared and ready to actually deliver change, and I think that ultimately is what Americans want to know and believe."
18. "Let us unite around a common goal of reducing the amount of abortions, not by making them illegal as many are attempting to do or overturning Roe V. Wade."
19. "[W]e all know, and it's obvious, that if we repeal Roe v. Wade tomorrow, thousands of young American women would be performing illegal and dangerous operations."
20. "There are jobs that Americans will not do, we all know that."
21. "Amnesty has to be an important part [of any guest worker program] because there are people who have lived in this country for 20, 30, or 40 years, and who have raised children here and pay taxes here and are not citizens. That has to be a component of it."
22. "I support the Latino and Immigrant Fairness Act (LIFA)...[But the current] bill makes...insufficient progress on amnesty for those wrongly denied it."
23. "I deeply regret the way the Republicans are politicizing and demagoging [immigration]...they are trying to outdo each other in basically demeaning and attacking those who are here in our country, yes, without documentation, but who are often doing the work that keeps our [country] going and raising their families and making a contribution."
24. "Rather than keeping us secure, keeping Guantanamo open is harming our national interests...I have certainly conluded that we should...close it once and for all."
25. "I would announce that we were closing Guantanamo Bay and moving those prisoners to Fort Leavenworth, kansas."

@ Skoe.....if there ever is a solid Republican State....I would have to put Wyoming in one of the top spots.
@ Yell.
Yea.
My point of backing McCain is I cant possibly see Obama/Hillary Running the country as chief Executive w/a Demo Legislature.
I know the position of Rush, and I know Mccain's record.
Is it possible.....that he leads as an Executive much more conservative than he Legislated as a Republican in the Senate ?
I think so.... More importantly, I hope so.
Can you really fathom the damage that a Dem in the White house can do w/this congress ?
I think it would be just what a "moderate" like McCain would see done as President. I think Rush is at the same point, he's looking beyond partisan Republican defeat in 2008 and trying to build for the road back.
Most Republicans don't know how liberal McCain is. I think that will come out during the debates, when Obama is going to emphasize how much McCain agrees with him.
Conservatives tear down liberal laws. Conservatives rolled back baseline budgeting and Carter's defense cuts and unlimited welfare and tax spending on abortion. Conservatives would reverse whatever Democrats enact. the Center-right won't. as bad as the Left makes things, that's making the conservative argument for conservatives. the Center Right is just going to say "Yes but" to liberalism. It won't get the job done.
OK, on the two most critical points for me.
One, Supporting the troops, and not leaving the hanging out to dry, and pulling out of Iraq to watch it crumble.
two, in the next 4 Years, two supreme court justice seats may open, ONE for sure....O'Connor.
- Can you live w/Obama/Hillary filling two supreme court seats ?
- What about the troops ?
Forget about policy, spending, the border .... all of that stuff can be reversed.
Pulling out of Iraq prematurely & Supreme court justices cannot be undone.
This is my main point.
OK update
Barack Obama's pastor turned out to be a blasphemous n00b. Obama said he didn't know. Then he made a half hour speech where he said we're all racist and so what can't we all get along despite it. Liberals wet themselves and Conservatives pissed on liberals.
Hillary got caught lying over and over and over about being shot at in Bosnia in 1996. Unfortunately she was such a camera hog that a film crew was right there taping the whole thing, proving once and for all that Hillary is really not that good looking.
John McCain made a dumb speech nobody paid much attention to because it sounded so much better when John Kerry made it in 2004. Then he went out and sold girl scout cookies with Mitt Romney, which got everybody excited because Mitt doesn't need the work so he must be after something like a VP slot.
So that brings you about current as of Friday March 28 2008. I think we should seriously consider a lifelong dictatorship as it would be shorter than this constant electioneering.
TheYell, she simply "mis-spoke". She's human. She's allowed mistakes. and I'm voting McCain.
She "misspoke" at least four different times that she was qualified to understand foriegn policy because she'd been shot at doing a mission to Bosnia, when nothing like that happened at all.
And before you condemn me, you should know that I am an undersecretary of state who won a UN medal for my work with hurricane refugees.
Oops no I'm not. I guess we're all only human.
ROFL.....
Yea....we all got news that we never new:
