i dont get why ppl say rip to melo? who will kill him?
The netherlands played a great 2nd half. Props to Kuyt and Steklenburg!!!
Still, The Netherlands will lose to Germany though..
Kuyt is awesome! Excellent workhorse!
Don't want to face Germany, the nation can't handle another loss against the Germans:p
damn you sir! you will try
dont be too sure they'll get past Argentina, they lost to Serbia
bie, you better care if netherlands loses in their next match; i can understand if you aren't terribly frustrated losing in the finals, because argentina, spain, or germany are all very strong teams... but uruguay or ghana.... you better beat them...
months before the tourney, i had netherlands losing to germany in the finals, my prediction just might come true....
On the other hand, I'd love to see us beating the Germans in the Final. It'll close some wounds that never properly healed after '74. ![]()
Just in case, I have some severed horseheads in the fridge...

i wouldnt say that netherlands played great.... Brazil clearly self-destructed....
Holland deserves to win the title.
Argentina and Brazil already have enough.

Because of Dutch pressure and level headedness in the 2nd half.
thats a bit of a stretch... the Dutch were not applying much pressure and they got quite a bit of cards themselves... so i wouldn't of called them level-headed.
why? the Dutch only managed to score once in that half, the Brazilians not at all, only one Brazilian got a red card
not really a blowout or collapse
I've seen Raiders games that the Raiders would have lost if the other team sat on the bench the 4th quarter
this was no blowout
and you were arguing the opposite view after the England-US 1-1 tie ![]()
avo, I disagree. Their 2nd half was rather impressive. The first half was rather rubbish though.
they couldnt even generate the scoring chances for their goal's... they had to be handed to them...
OK now I am rooting AGAINST uruguay
finish these putas sin honor
WE lost to ghana, it ain't the end of the world you cheating bastards...we went out MEN
...
Robinho gave the Brazilians the lead on Felipe Melo's brilliant low pass up the middle of the field that the striker put home with a low shot.
But the second half presented the unusual sight of the Brazilians scrambling wildly to find an equalizer.
It never came.
Instead, it was the Oranje and their fans doing the dancing as Brazil's players lay on the turf.
Brazil also lost in the quarterfinals four years ago, falling to France 1-0. Former team captain Dunga was hired to coach the team after that defeat, despite having no previous managerial experience.
"We didn't expect this," he said. "We know that any World Cup match is about 90 minutes. In the first half we were able to play better and we weren't able to maintain that rhythm in the second half."
Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk agreed that everything changed at the break.
"We could have lost it in the first 15 minutes," he said. "At halftime, I made it very clear to the players. I told them time and time again, 'You have to play your own game. You have to have patience against Brazil.'"
Said Sneijder: "At halftime we said to each other that we had to improve things and put more pressure on the Brazilian defense."

Avo, I do not agree it was all luck, it was hard work and a tremendous feat of willpower. Coming back like that against Brazil is a noteworthy feat.
The second goal for instance, that header was an excellent goal. Did you see the way Kuyt passed the ball on with his head to Sneijder? That was not a fluke, he actually ment that to happen, excellent football imho.
You cant argue the dutch weren't level headed because they got a few yellow cards.
The cards holland got were for professional fools, the red card brazil got was for misconduct. And Kaka should have had a direct red card as well for trying to hit Sneijder.
there were a couple points the dutch were lucky not to get a red... there were a lot of bad challenges on either side...
go germany!!!
Them Germans, always dangerous! Won't be suprised to see them in the finals... 3 - 0 damn!
germany v netherlands would be awesome final
I'm supporting Netherlands from here on in. I think Spain or Germany are more likely to win it, but I'd prefer to see Netherlands win.
*4-0 Biefstuk
.
and yeah Netherlands vs Germany would be classic ![]()
go paraguay!
