Re: Time to Invade Mexico

When in some towns the whole police force... they find the heads stacked carefully in front of the front door, the rest of the bodies never found, you can tell Mexico is losing the war.

When two cartels fight over a small city, and the military cannot stop them, then Mexico is losing.

When a cartel makes a threat that a large border town must be emptied in 24 hours or those remaining will die, and nothing can stop them, you know Mexico is losing.

When agents trained in the United States are sent secretly back to Mexico, are caught and given the choice of working for a cartel or dying, you know Mexico is losing.

When the cartels have so much spare manpower they start exporting their harm to the United States, instead of keeping the manpower home, you know Mexico is losing.

When the drug lords can get military assistance in the form of escorts for high value drug runs, you know Mexico is losing.

When no one dares run for many political offices, and a large number running for office are getting gunned down, you know Mexico is losing.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

I'm not against the idea itself. But one main problem I see is how you separate the bad guys from the good guys? I mean ok you invade but how many ground forces you need to control a population of (from wiki)+/- 110,000,000 man? Thats insanely expensive.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

Thank you oh wise President Obama for not securing the border (yeah yeah, all the corrupt dickheads before him didn't either; but I think he campaigned on being different from them, which is an admission that they [now him too] are wrong) and exposing your (he IS a natural born US citizen, after all) people to harm and death. Good and wise man you are.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

You merely need to divide the nation and prevent migration. Then corrupt regions get heavily focused on.

Pay for reliable info, put rewards out for the heads (not the bodies) of any drug lord who won't turn himself in, and make a system of stable law.

These drug lords will either flee to other nations, or surrender. They do not wish to die, and a 200,000 man force in Mexico with an easy logistics line will not be to expensive for the war. The segments of the Mexican military can be paraded around to hotspots and told, show you are not a mafioso

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

Not that expensive?  200k soldier marching around for how long?  How many would die in a territory the cartel has houses and people under them? Not expensive compared to what?  The Iraq war. Your on drugs if you think it will be quick and easy.  Its that kind of thinking that got us in the war overseas.

Quack.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

you know, I actually suggested this awhile ago.

If you want to look at it in a legal way, according to the 2nd amendment, we are allowed to bear arms. There is another amendment (22nd?) allowing us to raise a militia in the occurrence of an enemy force (or force we do not consider allowed) entering our country, or invading us. Illegal immigrants from Mexico can be seen as invading and thus, allows us to declare war on mexico for invading us.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

That is the most retarded shit I have read on this forum so far.

First of all every state has a militia. It's called the National Guard.

Secondly, the illegal immigrants are not invading to take over the country, nor to overthrow the government. If anything they are infiltrating the lower class. Who cares? If an illegal immigrant that can barely speak english can take your job, then you need to jump off a bridge or at least re-think your occupation.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

DarkMason,

If members of the lower classes do not want competition for their jobs, then it is within their power to oppose it. By you trying to tell them to resign themselves to it or jump off a bridge, only shows the tyranny of liberals behind the mask of altruism.

That would be true if it weren't for the fact they can learn a new skill or trade which would increase their job security. For example if someone is a Janitor, they can take a short class and learn how to clean the ventilation system (which would make them valuable to the company). Another example is if they are working in construction they could get additional licenses or certifications, which, the un-documented workers are unable obtain by default.

Horse crap.  They do not want to participate in a fair system of regulation.  They demand an absence of borders.  They demand total freedom of movement without regard to the government in washington--at the same time demanding all americans keep the hell out of Mexico.  An American in Mexico cannot protest the Mexican government, cannot own land, cannot invest in a mexican company except as a silent partner to a Mexican.  Illegal immigration in Mexico IS a crime, and a 2nd offense is a felony.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

I agree with the first response if it's true. I didn't know that, so you have a good point there.

The second point is garbage because the USA is a country of immigrants. It was created as a refuge for people fleeing persecution.

Who are the "killers" you are referring to? White people?

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

the US wasn't created as a place for people fleeing persectution (unless those people were going to turn into slaves for use by the white man).  it was created as an annexe of England, France, Holland and a couple other countries.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

"immigrants" are people willing to throw off their homes to move here and make this their home.  We make it hard on "immigrants" but shrug about the tens of millions of "migrant laborers" who have no loyalty to this country and demand we look the other way while they move about at will sending whatever they earn back home

I was taught in school that a foriegner who comes to another coutnry and loots it and sends the wealth back to his native country because he has no need to give a damn what he leaves behind, is an imperialist pig tongue

Yes Mexico has put in very strict socialist laws, they are only now easing up on their own people but they are very strict about Americans having any role in Mexico; one reason it is so poor and stayed poor.  If you told Americans they could buy any one house in Mexico we'd freaking DO it.  It'd be insane not to, even if you rent it out and never live there. even if it were just one house each. but that is "colonialism" to them.

and I know what a "right" is.  I have a "right" to free speech, which means, I can do it, and if the government don't like it, so what.  I don't have a "right" to it, unless the govt runs out of permit blanks or the database gets full.  So I say no foriegner has a "right" to live here, because we do not have to take 100 million indonesians if they get tired of living on an island with a half-billion people.

Also the Mexican govt is hypocrites about US enforcement.
They denounce the AZ law demanding foriegners provide proof of legal residence as racist.
BUT they sued to the World Court demanding that Texas not execute Mexican citizens, convicted of murder in USA, because the Mexicans were not told they could talk to their Mexican consul within 24 hrs of their arrest.  A treaty of Vienna 1969 promises that.
So Mexico demands US cops find out if you're Mexican, but to follow up and actually enforce US laws about immigration, is a violation of human rights

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

Eh? Clearly someone needs to crack open a history book -- Of the none royal colonies those founded by puritans were created for the purpose of being refuge from the religious reform in England, Esp the reform and Schism in Caltholism under Henry the VIII / Anne Bolyne / Thomas Crowley / Papal Authority.

Now it might be word play but you said "the US", the colonies were created for an annexe, but the US was formed due to improper representations of colonies to their sovereign, and an increasing desire to increase self-governing beyond that which the Articles of Confederation allowed.

Our immigration policy is one of the easiest. No crimes, speak enough English, understand the Constitution and your rights, and wait your turn and you are in.

We never turn the spigot off, we never limit it to one ethnic group, we never limit it to one continent, we care not your religion, and your given full cizenship (naturalized status) unlike most nations where Migrants do not get citzenship, just working rights.

Mexico is very draconian in immigration laws, yet actively promotes US immigration both legal and illegal.

As for militias, having one militia organized does not prevent the formation of new militias. There is no 'fixed' number in the constitution.

Oh and for the record having a baby here does not give citizenship to the baby, but some courts act like it does and the Supreme Court has not taken up the case. Only if a parent is a citizen is citizenship guaranteed. As the embassy of any nation here if their children get citizenship if accidently born here.

Re: Time to Invade Mexico

Immigration reform is screwed up because it was hijacked by amnesty

"comprehensive reform" = good popular ideas held hostage by special interests

>>Our immigration policy is one of the easiest. No crimes, speak enough English, understand the Constitution and your rights, and wait your turn and you are in.<<

But that is not true, there is no set period.  That is one thing that needs reform.  Even Kenya has a time frame.  I say, anybody who comes here on a visa, not unemployed for more than 6 months at a stretch, not using drugs and no communicable disease, literate in English and passing a test on civics, and no criminal record, gets in after 6 years.  If the govt can prove you lied it can sue you in federal court and get your citizenship revoked.

Then I'd grandfather everybody in line now who met those qualifications.

We can do that without waiting for a fence. --I would build fences, and raid factories for those who got through the fence.  But that's totally separate.

And if we can track who's here and when they came in, and clear the backlog of legal immigrants, THEN I'd tackle giving amnesty to the cheats.  And they'd probably get easier treatment from a majority of America than they can by trying to demand TOTAL AMNESTY FIRST before we do anything else.  Especially if everybody who came legally was guaranteed success.

Yes, but that's not the full story. The original settlers were protestants (i think?) and other non-catholics that were fleeing religious persecution.

Oppression leads to revolution, revolution leads to change, change brings flourishing, flourishing brings complacency, complacency opens the door for oppression -- Rinse, and repeat.

It has been that way since man thought of the idea to rule over his fellow man, it will never change, 5400 years from now in a intergalactic common wealth government the idea will be the same, we are predictable, petty, vain and overall not worth existing, as we do not learn from our mistakes, we are a reactive race of morons, we are ignorant of our own shortfalls, and consistently promote our virtues knowing damn well they are pseudo.
