gimme a break, it was a 95% white state(Iowa) that began his winning streaks in the primaries...

and this race isn't about race now..it's FINALLY about the issues, mostly the economy (thank god) and that is exactly why obama will win...

you really like making up lies, dont you? i dont think Obama is only guna win cuz he's black and i never said anything to support that.

and you're extremely small minded if you think this race isnt about race to many, many, voters.

And Sex wink

Sooooooooo many ppl are voting for McCain because of Palin lol

PP, if that were true then so be it. You win some you lose some. But while it was indeed the family I put together, no, I wasn't there =p

I think you might be confusing me with RV and Jets's fam because I've certainly never fought against kagar lol

Um when I went thru I borrowed 100% tuition. And incidentals made me pick colleges close to home. And its a 30 yr pyment plan so whats your bitch, the world owe you a living? And what do you care if its state or federal aid?

Still not really relevant in this day and age.

There are tons of college graduates who are graduating and finding jobs that aren't in their field because of the declining job market. They are paying an average of 100k dollars to earn a bachelor's degree and are obtaining jobs that require as little as an associate's degree. This in turn creates a lower salary, a paycheck to paycheck situation and debt. (Look it up, the stats are there)

The majority of americans who are in debt are in debt due to student loans and/or credit cards.

A student coming out of a poor family cannot afford to go to college without some sort of government help nowadays. Scholarship funding is competitive to the point where it's impossible to get one unless you are exceptionally bright/athletic/lucky.

Part time jobs in college cause conflicts with school class times for a full time student and generally pay minimum wage or just above. Add that with the rising costs of living and you pretty much make less than what you spend.

If you borrow, you need to be fortunate enough to be able to secure a job in your field that is able to thrive in the economy and be able to have an affordable housing situation so that you can work to pay down the tens of thousands of dollars of debt you've accumulated in addition to your monthly bills.

This discussion however is leading to something off the topic. The point is, War doesn't benefit the economy at all. It's just like IC. What family in the history of IC has been in war all round and still managed to be #1 in economy? Spending millions of gc and iron on fleet and agents and wizzies doesn't help infra jumps smile

er... PP you really should start doing some fact checking before you throw stuff around about ppl. We played in the same galaxy (andromeda) once. And yes, I did do a lot of trash talking, but I had some rl problems and had to leave my family a week after the round started. If you're talking about owning my family, yes you did....after I left smile

oh yeah, I completely didn't even think to add in the fees for an apartment, food, utilities, gas, clothes, etc. =p

No, he wasn't calling for a 100 year war but he was saying he wouldn't mind one. American presence isn't wanted in the middle east. If McCain is going by his standards of war then yes, there would be war throughout his entire term of presidency. Terrorists are forming BECAUSE of Americans in the Middle East. As long as it is shown that he is for and not against stopping the war =p

"And I borrowed my way through school and had a part-time job, and so can you."

That's not exactly true. The same principles don't apply to everyone. Education costs are rising, jobs are declining and on top of that, depending on your course of study, responsibilities at home, etc. it may not even be possible to work a part time job through school. Interest rates on loans are also increasing so it's also very difficult to pay those back when you don't have the time to meet school requirements and work a part time job.

If school fees were affordable and the job market was open then yes, the war could be supported by the state budgets. But it's not. Basically you take the main thing draining our economy and supplement it by taking away from the things that are working to build it up.

More war, less jobs, less educated individuals, more crime = positive or negative? Depends on your outlook. It's just not smart to continue fighting a war that can't be won. But that all depends on what your objectives on the war are. You can't end terrorism in the middle east as long as one single American is in the middle east.

You can't find osama bin laden because he's either A. Dead, B. Working with Bush on some major conpsiracy, C. Protected by Iran, D. Sitting on mars drinking a pina colada.

You can't form a democracy in the middle east because this is not how those people operate and it will only lose power after some time.

You can't end the war in Iran unless the Iranians somehow change personalities altogether.

ok, but when are there ever NO casualties in iraq? =p

It's like me saying, I'm ok with 100 years of Americans having sole power over every other nation as long as they don't try to impose their customs and beliefs on everyone else.

Sen. John McCain told a crowd of supporters on Sunday, "It's a tough war we're in. It's not going to be over right away. There's going to be other wars." Offering more of his increasingly bleak "straight talk," he repeated the claim: "I'm sorry to tell you, there's going to be other wars. We will never surrender but there will be other wars."

"And right now - we're gonna have a lot of PTSD [post traumatic stress disorder] to treat, my friends," he said. "We're gonna have a lot of combat wounds that have to do with these terrible explosive IEDs that inflict such severe wounds. And my friends, it's gonna be tough, we're gonna have a lot to do."

McCain wont "continue the war"... He knows what war is like. He has already said American troops will be placed out of cities and into bases where they can respond to worst case events.

This is a lie. He's said blatantly that he's going to continue the war several times.

Cut welfare and student aid to fund the war.  War is a federal job and those aren't.

Then you'd have the same social situation in our homeland that you have in Iraq more or less.

It's bad enough that our economy has suffered due to this prolonged war on whatever we decide it's on today, but cutting off funds to help those less fortunate only makes matters worse.

lol I'll take that bet!

That's a stupid thing to say anyway. Governments, banks, schools, etc. have been hacked. If a hacker wants to hack something, they will do it. Simply put.

That's like saying a banker would've never got raided if he/she had better defenses when everybody knows if an attacker wants to kill a banker, that banker is dead

yep, soon as IC is sorted out I'll block him. That kind of crap is really uncalled for. This isn't the valentines day game. It's a war game. People really shouldn't play this game if they can't be mature enough to respect their opponent and accept defeat. I'm pretty tired of that crap. Go suck your thumb and watch cartoons if you can't handle being beat. I suppose the lack of a reset button is why people get so upset in this game. Geez

If this is supposed to happen then why even bother advising us to change our passwords. It won't help either way if everyone is able to drop the database tables.

No, not saying you should just live with it. But realistically, you can't expect much to change
