The sun was setting in the distance and the people had all gathered. News of the vengeance-seeking Guiseppe had been rumoured around - but he was nowhere to be seen.
A chill wind blew through the crowd and the sound of coats lashing at peoples legs whispered through. It was a nervous group, with shifty eyes amongst all. Noone really knew what was going on, there was a tension that made it difficult to breath. Faint whispers of 'Moretti' rustled through the crowd to add to the confusion.
It was apparent to everyone, Romano had the dominance and this town had always had the presense of a strong Mafia gang. Did they like it? Most assuredly not, but at least things remained relatively calm as the Romano conducted their business and resumed their illegal ways.
However, something was amiss. There seemed to be some disruption, and thing were not normal. All of a sudden it just appeared that the whole town was on edge - something was definitely not right. Had the balance of power shifted?
The town were at shock to learn of the two deaths last night. Each had their own signature and the cops definitely knew somthing was up. It was time to action and lead this town rid of all violence. Were they the ones who could finally bring security to the town?
It had been decided earlier, that for once town will take their fate into their own hands. A sudden night with two kills, was something unbearable. Something was definitely astray and it was time to take back control! Every day, from here on in a suspect will be hanged - failure to agree to this, would only bring suspicion upon oneself.
Nolio was brought to the platform. The executioner reached up and pulled in the noose that was flaying in the wind and then pulled his mask down firmly to ensure it stayed on.
Nolio looked around and muttered "....but, I was the least suspect.. I didn't even accuse anybody...". The executioner tied the noose around Nolio's neck.
Nolio took a deep breath in and sighed heavily. "Ah well, my death will at least make things interesting..." as he tried to find some solace. He took one last look around the gathered group, and struggled to identify maybe 1-2 of his family before everything blacked out..

Walking away from the group was a somber man. Vittore didn't watch the hanging, he had turned around and started his journey back to his vehicle. The thought of losing his right hand man, the Jack of all Trades, was a bit much to bare. He stopped in his tracks a moment, Vittore was not an emotional man, but something was at play here that did not sit quite right. Looking up to the sky he thought to himself, could his brother, Guiseppe, have anything to do with this?
Vittore shrugged it off and continued on his way...
