Let me just butt in here for a second.
Parrot informed me he was cancelling "in 7 ticks" when I woke up. My fam had no savings besides the fam bank that was being kicked around for infra jumps. You (25) didn't fight wars for one reason or another, and the eventual war with 26/28 was a huge let down on your side (statistically speaking, 26/28 was up ~250 planets by the end of war). 26 had no infra all round because we fought all round, hence for the less than impressive jump. As for Tryme screwing you guys over, that's obviously an extrapolation of what had occurred previously.
I'm okay with giving 25 (especially Link) credit for good diplomacy, but I agree with Parrot that the bragging about "winning size" needs to be toned down a bit. As for Render, you guys did just fine, you played the cards you were dealt and played them well. Just remember that you couldn't come into sector 3 until 2 days left of the round
heehee.
Also, I don't appreciate this Silv bashing that's been getting around. He's a very capable and most certainly an impact player. After brett's surprise departure, he had to adjust mid-round to become the best resourcer (this is no coincidence, he was making more than all the resourcers combined for any given fam). Yes, Parrot carried the family (hell, alliance) in attacking, there's no denying that, he is simply that good. But without Silvarian, I could also argue that 28 wouldn't've been a top fam due to lack of all around infra. Don't bash Silv until you've played in the same fam/alliance with him, because you don't understand what he brings to the table on a consistent basis.
Also, like Parrot pointed out, this was the first round that my fam didn't have the best infra in a while, so it was definitely challenging but I think we made the best of it. There were many capable players in our fam who picked up the slack when others had to deal with real life issues, players such as Blue, TT, tezcatli and Kahlan, who were previously unheard of by the IC community really helped making this one of the memorable rounds I have ever played. The truth is, I had a great time winning with this same bunch last round that they were the reason I decided to stick around.
And with the reshuffle, come my time to take a break from this game.
