They will deny there was a holocaust, as some of them already do.
@han:
I need 6 players first and I got like 2
thats the result of a couple mistakes made in the past and bad communication. I fully agree to all that. Though the media also played its role in it by not giving it enough attention.
LOL
Another newsfact:
Sarkozy has made lisbon a priority on his agenda (france will take the EU-chairmanship soon). Next to that he plans to work on a unified europe migrationplan, agriculture and a real european defence structure.
lol@freelancer
he's going to look it up tough to proove he does ![]()
@bief:
"My point exactly."
then how do you know they are arrogant? You don't know what they are doing as well so it can't be that. The only point you (bief) can have against them is they are not open enough. But that is what this treaty forces them to do.
They need this treaty to go on with europe with more nations, we need a more democratic and open EU to communicate better. ----->The lisbon treaty
The lisbon treaty also makes sure your country can "pull out" of the EU any time it wants. So if the Netherlands decide they don't want to be part of it anymore they can become independant.
one of the survivors of auswitch wich was publicly well known for his efforts to inform the youth about the dangers of extremism and the holocaust.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henryk_Mandelbaum
I bet when most survivors are death, nothing happened for the neonazis.
"I see nothing but good things comming out of this, why in gods name would you vote against it?"
I wouldn't know either. I'm all for it. Ask biefstukfriet. He's against it because "the EU is arrogant". I have no clue what he tries to bring forth ![]()
"I know all about the treaty, it will streamline the EU decision process and make it more transparant, bla bla."
but do you know HOW? You seem like another guy who votes no for the wrong reasons.(I don't know whats going on so I don't trust it thing) While this treaty does exactly that, making it easier for you to understand and more transparant.
"I'm still saying 'NO' because they're a bunch of arrogant twats with a thirst for power."
"THEY"-you have to search wiki to name 15 of them but- are mostly national politicians who moved to european institutions. Anyway, that is no reason for voting against the treaty. The trearty makes it more democratic (giving you more control of them)
"I'm not denying people are voting no for reasons other than the content of the treaty, but so what?"
So what? The control process named democracy doesn't function and this treaty solves a minor part of it.
"All in all it comes down to the fact that the European people do not trust, like or care about the EU."
really? I doubt it. Fear and lack of knowledge might be the biggest factor but still you have to proove the figures.
"Before the EU even tries to get treaties like this through it should do something about it's image, or lack thereof."
->they pushed the lisbon treaty for that purpouse.
"This is the price the EU pays for years of condescending arrogance."
That is a true fact. But its not a good thing non the less
"Disinformation!"
Do you think all other people here do cognitive dissonance/desinformation? Anyway, it doesn't matter.
"How many of those countries allowed their populations to vote on the issue in a referendum?"
I was talking total numbers not number of countries. There have been polls but to your defence polls don't proove a vote result.
But do you question the fact that half of the people (including you) don't know squad about the treaty?
@han:
some tried, some won. And lol it has been lower as $70 during the game (and the dollar was still 1.2
Its an unrealistic game, but fun to play.
The concept is rather simple:
We all start with the same amount of cash. With that cash, you can buy barrels. You can buy or sell barrels at the price of the day. Everyday we update the price at the same time (eg 1pm GMT) and it remains the same for the rest of the day untill next update.
We take prices from this webside:
http://www.bloomberg.com/energy/
the price per b for Nymex Crude Future
eg: I have 200$cash and the daily price is 100$/barrel. I can choose to buy 1 or 2 barrels, or none and keep my money. If I buy 2 barrels, I can choose to sell them, or one of them, next day at the price of that day(preferably higher). The trick is to know when to buy or sell. I.o.w. when prices will raise or fall. If prices will raise you buy to sell later at a higher price.
after a few weeks we stop and whoever has most cash wins.
A full and structure explenation comes later if there are people willing to play the game.
Maybe I should start a speculation thread again.
If there are enough folowers that is. Post below if you want to compete. With about 6 people I'm willing to start. Else I won't. Rules are the same as last time but new idees are welcome.
so far in the game:
Freelancer
zoz
more then half of europe is for it, and half of whats left would be if they understood what its about.
in a top in luxemburg they agreed to continue with the treaty but they don't know how yet.
I don't believe it. Its something different every month. The real ROEI can only be claculated after implementation. As far as I see it:
energy investment:
1.) research
2.) creating and consuming waste (yes this is a cost on this scale)
3.) transport of waste
4.) creation of oil factory and placement (the last would be a pain they admit)
5.) maintenance of the factory
6.) transport of oil
7.) diseases
-Waste is often used for agricultural purposes so its a los. Next to that, the amount of waste you need is huge, so you need to produce it on extra.
-The placements of most of that kind of experiments is a problem because of the large space it takes, and the climat it needs.
-the bug could be subject to diseases and parasites.
from lisbon treaty to starship troopers. How do you guys menage?
guys, stick to yes or no and one sentence, please
the vote always ends up in a popularity test for the ruling party instead. Thats why.
so far its equal:
yes: 2
no: 2
But maybe it will be a good thing if persons got ellected by the population of whole europe. It forces them to make their acchievements known to the big public and communicate.
@alan,
1.) you forgot to post yes before your sentence ![]()
2.) the answere is in the 2 posts below I gues ![]()
lol zoz!
