As the rain fell steadily, the serial killer sat on the bench, opposite his victim's house. He was wearing a hat this time, not because of the rain, but because it was his lucky hat. His attempt to kill had failed last night, so he figured he needed his favourite hat. The hat was his first real trophy, made of bat skin. He sniffed, savouring the air around him. This time he wouldn't fail. This time, no one would be there to save ARFeh.

Figuring that his sneaky approach didn't do much the other night, the serial killer went for the direct approach tonight. Instead of hammers, saws or anything alike, he only had a shotgun with him. He rang the doorbell and readied the gun. When the door opened, he fired. But there was no one there. Swearing and cursing, the serial killer readied his gun again and slowly walked into the hallway. Having lost the element of surprise, he'd have to be very careful, but also fast. Or soon people would come, reacting upon the gunshot.

"Come to kill me again, freak? This Vizzini member won't go down easily!" ARFeh entered the hallway, dressed in his best suit, his mafioso gun in his hand. The serial killer smiled, knowing he'd been right all along. Not that it mattered if ARFeh was a mobster or not, dead people were dead people. But to finally see a mboster die, it would give him extra satisfaction. A series of shots followed, during which ARFeh and the serial killer reached for cover. In the silence that ensued, the serial killer crouched through the hallway, expecting a sign of life from ARFeh. But when he got halfway through the hallway, he found the mobster lying face down on the ground.

When people reached ARFeh's house minutes later, seeing what the gunshots were all about, they found the front door wide open. In the hallway, they found ARFeh's body, missing a leg. On the wall was written in the dead mobster's blood: "Here lies ARFeh, Vizzini mobster. You're welcome. You're next."

It was just over midnight and in most of the houses the doors were firmly closed and the lights dimmed. It was a fools plan to go out and most of them just wanted the night to be over with and live another day. But in one of those houses the light was still on and it was the towns doctor who stood in front of the window gazing into the night, watching the endless rain poor down from the sky. Yesterday night a hero.. today a sucker, the more time passed the more the doctor started to realise that healing ARFeh was a huge mistake.

*dinnnggg donnnnggg*

The doctor peered through the window but couldn't see who was at the door. Slowly moving towards the door the doc peered through the peeping hole and smiled as he opened the door.

"You startled me darling, what are you doing here so late... want a glass of ... "

KT interrupted the doctor as she grabbed his arm. At first he thought she was just wet, but now he realised she was transpiring all over and the shaking was not coming from the cold rain either.

"help me!" she grunted as she fainted and collapsed.

The doctor quickly grabbed KT and dragged her to his sofa, he recognized these symptoms and was positive that this was no sickness, this was poison! He ran to his book closet and started to look for a certain book regarding odd poisons. He knew the remedy was in here somewhere as he threw aside another book. Ahh there it was, the doctor grabbed a small black book and searched for the right poison. After flipping a few pages, he tossed the book aside and rushed to his bathroom. A few minutes later he returned holding a syringe and a small bottle which appeared to be some kind of medicine. He smiled as he injected KT with the cure and whispered "It is going to be al right now, don't worry."

Next morning KT woke up with a booming head ache. As she tried to remember what happened last night she noticed that some parts were rather blurry and she couldn't remember everything she wanted to. Still a bit dazed from last night she stood up decided to get a drink. While walking to the kitchen she spotted a small card on the dresser, she picked it up and read:

Dear KT,
the headaches and the memory loss are perfectly normal. So don't worry and be well soon
Signed, The Doctor

The game moderator closed his eyes and smiled blissfully as he flipped his omelette. He always enjoyed listening to the classical channel in the morning and the cantata's by Bach were always highly favoured. As he hummed along with one of his favourite cantata's he poured himself a cup of coffee. He looked at the clock and sighed, the lynch was already in half an hour and that would mean he had to rush his breakfast. Again.

A sudden knock on the door startled the moderator as he took the omelette off the fire. Sipping his coffee he opened the door and gazed mindlessly at the five townies who were standing on his front porch. It was not long before the moderator realised what was going on and stampeded off to one of the bedrooms.

"You stupid dick, you said you would change the clock to daylight saving time.."

The other moderator stared back at the ranting moderator and shrugged his shoulders as he put up his 'oops' face. The moderator quickly got dressed and they rushed off to the square. It was time for a new lynch! New day, new chance to get a mobster.

The votes had already been counted twice and thus Arocalex' fate was sealed. They brought him to his knees, facing the whole town as one of the moderators placed a gun to the back of his head.

"You have been found guilty by a majority of the town of Tarona. The charges read: collaboration and or participation with the Vizzini crime family. This act of treason against Tarona has only one suitable punishment. Death!"

As the moderator finished his last word he pulled the trigger. A loud bang followed and resonated throughout the square. The town dispersed quietly as there was no reason for joy. Another innocent townie had paid a very expensive prize and everyone knew it would not be the last one.

"Are you sure this is the place?"

'Yea I am positive, Paladgia square. Just as the memo said'

"Odd..."

The two moderators stared at the completely empty square. Scratching their heads, their eyes followed a small pigeon that had been flying around for quite some time now. Vigorously chucking down old french fries from the Imperial burger palace. The pigeon cooed loudly as he darted passed the two moderators.

"Right... what about the time, you sure the lynch would be right now?"

'It should be.. the memo said 1PM and the clock isn't going to be changed until tonight, so that can't be the problem either'

"So what now?"

The moderators stared at each other stupidly as the little pigeon dragged another french frie over the square. Suddenly someone came running down the square waving his hands, gesturing them to come with him. The moderators followed him and after a few minutes they arrived at another yet quite similar square, one filled with all the remaining townsfolk. One of the moderators glanced angrily at the other as he read the large sign saying "Paladgio square".

Meanwhile the impatient town had already started to take measures in their own hands as they were hitting and kicking A10. Cries of anger and fear were heard as they tried to make A10 confess and repent for his sins. However A10 did not confess, in fact he furiously kept denying to be related to any kind of crime organisation.

A sudden high pitched scream came from the crowd as A10 was waving a gun at the angry mob. "I am here to help you!" he yelled. "You have to believe me!!!"
One of the townies - obviously not at all convinced A10's story - leaped forward in a heroic attempt to disarm A10 from his firearm.

* BANG * BANG *

The two bullets that had been fired had pierced A10's heart. While collapsing from the instant heart failure he hit and cracked his head on the hard pavement of Paladgio square. While lowering their still smoking guns the moderators approached the body. They searched his clothes and found some kind of badge in one of his pockets. The moderator held up the badge and read: "Sheriff A10, proud protector and servant of Tarona"
