1. Robert Jordan did not finish the series, but his wife/editor is having Brandon Sanderson finish it (new book is coming out soon if it isn't already out yet)

2. The prequel for the series basically gives a back story for a few mid-level characters, I'm with Arnor though, I believe the prequel came out after book 7 or 8.

3. I'm addicted to the series and just want it to end. I need closure dammit
