If you feel that you have rights, and you go ahead and do something, but then 2 days later are shot for doing it. Does that mean that the person who killed you has the right to kill you? Say for instance, if you feel that Freedom cannot be denied, and I don't allow you into my house and you shoot me for it, does that mean you have the right to shoot me for denying you Freedom?

A Freedom or Right can only be denied in regards to a body of power permitting certain acts to be committed, say we have the right to bear arms, so we can have guns. The government is allowing us guns. If we didn't have the freedom or right, we could still be allowed guns until the government says otherwise. And if we have guns after they say otherwise, then they may just have you arrested and hanged. Thus, there are no rights save for what the body of power over us allows.

We basically went into someone else's homeland and started killing them after they attacked us, so they are doing the number 1 thing in war...demoralizing the home front. Eliminating the people's desire for war. This happened with Vietnam. It's happening again. If you're even REMOTELY clueless, you could have figured that one out. Not to mention that most of the people that screwed up were our intelligence agencies, and hell, it's bound to happen. We can't get everything perfect.

Slaves from Washington to Lincoln. Vietnam from Johnson, I think. You're just picking on Obama because you're a racist conservative. (Although most conservatives are racist to some degree) If you're gonna complain flint, at least have the decency to examine more facts than just the past decade. You seem to forget it's BECAUSE of the conservatives that our country is messed up now. The democrats are at least trying to make things better. I haven't seen a single republican do anything for the economy since Bush screwed us all over.

And if Obama has 4 things to mainly get done on his first term agenda, then obviously we chose poorly. You should have so many things on your agenda that you don't finish when you're done. The question is what did Obama do? We know what FDR did and his legacy reflects that, being the only president with 3 full terms and voted in for a 4th. But Obama? Capitalism is basically the idea that I can do whatever I want to make money. If I can get away with it (if it's illegal) then I've done very well so far. If I am caught, oh well, odds are I'll be dead in 10 years anyways, nothing left for me to see.

Personally, I think Flint is just rattling the branches on the tree just for kicks and giggles. First few threads he made had merit, now he's just overdoing it, repeating everything too much. He needs to stop focusing on these things. After all, Flint, were you to be President, would you be making the same decisions? Different? Compromising? Having people thwart you at every turn? You have to remember, the person we vote in usually is given ALL the crap his predecessor left behind and, generally, is unprepared for that, because he's too busy preparing for the crap he wants to do. I think the best presidents are the ones who deal with the crap left behind by their predecessor, THEN go on to forge their own path. FDR combined both of those though. Perhaps instead of complaining about every little thing Flint, perhaps you should focus on what you can do to improve what is being done, has been done and should be done.
