The US system spends way too much money on administrative functions. It probably has more red tape than even Australia. Although the US has good quality, I wouldn't be surprised if some continental countries like France and Germany do better.
Personally, I think both systems suck. I want 100% laissez faire, free market health care.
I don't think they're the type to do that. I do know some girls who I play other online games with who may give IC a try, although I won't bring them here because my posts on this forum are a liability.

It's easy. Show her the $.
Western civilization is superior, and it is the duty of all western nations to civilize the barbarians.
I can't answer your question until you answer mine. It's a matter of understanding what your logic is, which right now makes no sense.
Avo,
Who are these motivated geniuses you're talking about?
Avo,
I'm not sure what your point is about the most intelligent people not being the wealthiest in the world. You seem to presume that all intelligent people have the potential to become wealthy, but since they aren't they must value something else. But if that is your reasoning, it's fallacious.

How much money have you spent on your girlfriend so far this month?
For those of you with a girlfriend, I want to know how much money (state what currency as well ie. euro or usd) you spent on her so far this month. Exact statements are good, although approximations are fine.

If anything our heat keeps us thin, all you northerners sit inside 8 months out of the year and do nothing and get fat.

Naw. In my state people are pretty active on the lakes and they enjoy winter sports like hockey. And food is more important than exercise. If you eat bad, then you better burn it off with exercise. If you eat right, you can be thin without exercise. Although, yes, exercise is important for other health reasons.
Yell,
Actually, it is social advancement. You're too old fashioned, and that's why you're still a virgin (no insult intended).
That depends on where in America you're talking about. Different states and regions were influenced by different cultures. Some states are relatively healthier and better educated (some even measure up to standards in other parts of the Western world), while in other parts like the South there is extensive poverty, obesity and stupidity.
Finally Yell is getting the help he needs.
How about the state does not recognize marriage or confer any benefits for it?
My point being that fulfilling the model of a "man" is not selected for or beneficial in this world. Most of the most powerful people in the world became powerful because they were ruthless in many ways, taking leisure in ethics and law. Their power has made them arrogant and even licentious. If being a "man" had a return, then more powerful men would do it. In fact, more men would be "men," but since it doesn't have a return only fools try to be "men."
So Kemp. What percentage of wealthy and powerful people do you think are arseholes?
I find it amusing that others have an ideal of what it means to be a man, because it's entirely arbitrary and few even live up to it.
But, being powerful absolutely rocks. The recipe for power requires several man-like traits such as independence, but others like "doing the right thing" are for fools. In some ways I may be some what foolish by doing the latter, since I am usually honest about my intentions with others, but I prefer having a relationship based on honesty than deception. Two years ago I even told a conservative Catholic woman I wouldn't date her because she wouldn't make herself sexually available to me, and I hope my honesty enlightened her on the reason(s) she couldn't get a boyfriend.
Now that you are becoming an adult, you can choose to either live for yourself or for others. These other idiots live for others and what's expected of them, and consequently they will never fully enjoy the rewards of life. In your case, you chose to live for an ideal that others should earn their respect. You have to realize the world isn't governed by how it should go. If you keep thinking that way, you will live a life of disappointment and guilt. Embrace the dark side where you come first, but remember the value of diplomacy, which is something you are lacking in.
That's why I said freeway, heh. Ofc, I would never drive 40mph in a residential area lol.
To be frank, if I am pulled over by a police officer for driving no more than 10 mph over the speed limit on a free way, I will ruin their career if I can. The unwritten rule is that you can go up to 12-13 mph over before the speeding laws are actually enforced, and you have to go at least 5mph over the limit to be safe, except in poor weather conditions.
Now to Humid,
In your case, you were blatantly disrespectful of the teacher, as Lizon stated. Whether you wore those shoes all year is also irrelevant because it's against school policy and you aren't granted a special exemption because you were able to get away with it for the time you did.
Respect may be something a person should earn in some social contexts, but not in others like your teacher or boss. If you don't respect your teacher or boss, you will find you have limited opportunities in life.
I will say this again, as I have said it in previous threads. I hate reforms in favor of positive freedom. In my view, it isn't even freedom at all. Positive freedom is a kind of government intervention that favors a group perceived to be of lower status than the majority with the intention of leveling the playing field. Positive freedom can manifest in policies such as affirmative action and special grants. My main reason for hating policies that create positive freedom is because they are opposed to meritocracy.
However, I am fully in favor of the kinds of freedoms that remove needless restraints. Such restraints could be employment questions that ask what sexual or religious preference you have, and solutions to these kinds of biased restraints could be outlawing such questions from being asked and requiring promotional procedures to be more "blind."
Homosexuality may be genetic, as a result of various alleles that may be beneficial to one gender but manifest in a preference for homosexuality in another. That's what Richard Dawkins said. Really, when it comes to gays, who cares? They are for the most part productive and law-abiding citizens, they just have unorthodox preferences in the bedroom. As for treatment, I agree they don't deserve special treatment. May all persons be judged by their merit only.
I just wanted to say something. The Qin were awesome. They single handily defeated every state in China by brute military force. The sad part is their Emperor was a nutcase.
