- Need to talk about a player?

I believe since this centers around Torqez being a cheater it fits the player criteria tongue

Wouldn't them exploring into his core have been considered a breach of the NAP which could be considered voiding it? (ie. one side not abiding by the rules of the nap)

I'd say it went from NApping as many fams as you could early on to not napping anyone to napping the top 3 or 4 fams in the galaxy as they are the only ones to pose a threat.

I remember one round i had probably 20 naps at one point. the next round we had no naps until we had fought or the conditions were just too good to pass up (i remember one family offering a nap where we would have one big block of systems, about 1/3 of  the entire sector that was "ours" and we didn't give them any core. Thats when galaxies were considerably larger with a higher number of systems)

Thats a poorly written msg tongue

On one hand it looks like he's canceling it "hereby canceling our nap" and on the other hand he says he's letting them know early implying it's not being canceled with the msg.

Torqez rubbing it in with the family name is kinda low. Shows little class. It's all about morale fiber.

Just installed the SSD into my Laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit big_smile

I timed start up at 14 seconds, lol. Shut down is about 4-5 seconds. The SSD registers as 6.9 for the windows rating.

Only one snag but it doesn't seem to matter. If your laptop sees your drive as SCSI then the Intel Toolbox thing doesn't work. But it looks like TRIM is activated and working automatically so it shouldn't matter for me smile

Tell me about the price sad I really wanted a SandForce controlled SSD but the first ones i've seen on the market are for $900 for 200GB X(

I got my Intel 80GB for $219 and it's just the bare drive no extras :-/ Newegg rocks as always. It's currently out for delivery the second day after ordering big_smile

Now i just need to get a valid copy of Windows 7.... I mean buy... of course.... tongue

Solid State Hard Drives. Calling one a flash drive is like calling a tricycle a Harley Davidson tongue

All SSD's have a failure date depeding on the amount written to it (and deleted more importantly) The intel is expected to last around 5 years. It's at least covered for the first 3 years.  I'm aware of the limited writes and slowing of the drive over time and the reasons for this (I was looking at the G2 because it supports TRIM and Intel's G2 drives don't "age" like other drives)

There's also an issue with write amplification which Intel's will succumb to (all drives do. Just some do it far slower then others)

I'm aware of steps to help reduce the number of writes (use a portion of system memory for FF Cache and storing larger files like movies and things to a seperate drive (External USB in my case)

One of the things i was concerned with was the interface speed for my sata hard drive on my laptop. I can't find anywhere that says if it's top speed is 1.5GB/s or 3.0GB/s. The intel will fly either way but some of the newer SSDs just coming out max out at the 3.0GB/s because thats the top speed for the interface until they start shipping with 6.0GB/s. I'd feel cheated buying a new SSD at an outrageous price and only be able to use half of it's ability

Does anyone here own one yet? I've read through many reviews of different drives and i've been really tempted to purchase one.

Was wondering if anyone has experience with one yet? I'm thinking about buying one of the Intel X25-M 80GB G2 drives

This from the person who encouraged his family not to research anything...

"You want to work out how much things will cost you with your construction bonus?" - Planets-Build-Check costs... Not much simpler.... tongue

I don't quite follow the part about killing science. If a person has an 80% bonus that means he's got at least twice as many RPs in the field as someone with 40%. So when you kill 3% of his RPs it would be at least twice as much as the 40% person for RPs killed.

So i just checked to see what the loss would be. i checked 3% loss for my 83% econ bonus and 3% loss for my 37% Welfare. I lose 3.8 times as many RPs with the Econ compared to the Welfare
