Pinwheel, Planet Arsylia, Capitol City
Three elderly gentlemen were sipping tea and eating biscuits at Cafe Guillotin's terrace near the town square. Their appearance was of nobility and wisdom. They talked calmly of things that had happened in their formerly small town had that grown into a metropolitan at an incredible speed. With econimical growth, the downsides had also appeared. The city had seen a huge rise in organised crime, chiefly the group known as Arsylian Mafia. As the men were getting ready to order more biscuits, a black transport flew past them at a hurried pace. The men stopped talking as they watched it go. It quickly vanished between the skyscrapers.
"There goes another prisoner transport to the portal. I wonder if it will ever end", spoke one of the men.
"It should encourage others not to seek the criminal way of life, bishop", replied a man next to him who looked slightly doggish. "And it's a one-way trip through the portal, to another galaxy. The prison planets are foolproof and there's no coming back from them."
Sagittarius Dwarf, System 55,46, Prison planet 7 "Rae"
Rae was a secluded prison planet that had been put into use as more and more industrialised planets had begun to struggle with rising prisoner populations. The planet had a special oneway portal that worked only one way: You could get onto the planet, but not away from it. As maximum security prisons go, a designated planet for prisoners was the best anyone had come up with so far. No guards, no upkeep costs. As one might guess, the planet's population was less than pleasant: Murderers, sexual deviants, thieves, televangelists, mobsters, and so forth. But still the convicts had installed rudimentary signs of civilisation. They had built lodgings and they even had a makeshift court that was rarely used as there was really not much law to speak of. Everything was ran with principles of anarchy.
Convicts watched as the portal begun to glow blue again as a sign of incoming travellers. They were suspicious, even more so than usual. Recently many of the new prisoners were suspected of being members of organised crime, and there were rumours that the Arsylian Mafia wanted to enslave the other prisoners as their servants. For the first time in a long while the court system had been put to use. Every day they'd gather by the portal and vote for the execution of someone who they thought was a mobster. Of course, there was no saying how the Mob would react to this. Tt was likely they'd respond with violence and skip their original plan of enslaving the regular convicts.
When the new arrivals came through the portal, they were quickly beaten and their few possessions were stolen. "Welcome to Rae", grinned one of the convicts as he was pulling off a newcomers' shoes.

Additional roles - Two random people will be the lovers.
Only the godfather and Mafia will know who the other mobsters are. Everyone else will be in the dark.
NIGHT PHASE - WHO DOES WHAT?
Each phase of the game begins with the night. The following can happen during this time:
- Before the end of the first night, the Mafia must elect their godfather. The godfather is the leader of the Mafia. He, together with the other mobsters, will decide on person to kill each night. He will also choose one of them to conduct the kill. The godfather has the final say in any Mafia night decision. He will also appear to be innocent to the sheriff's investigations and is immune to being killed at night.
- The serial killer is a madman who kills one person every night. Like the Godfather, he is immune to being killed/cured at night and will only die if lynched.
- The Martyr is an heroic madman who has the ability to kill one person once in the game. Unfortunately the martyr will not survive an attack on the Mafia.
- The snitches have the power to investigate one inmate per night. By daytime, he will discover this person's role. He can do what he likes with this information but revealing it might reveal his identity. (formerly known as the cops)
- The Dealer has the ability to save one person per night. That person will be protected from any possible attack by the Mafia or serial killer. The dealer is forbidden from choosing the same person two nights in a row and he cannot choose himself. (formerly known as the doctor)
- The two lovers are so in love that they share the same fate. Might one die, the other will commit suicide. Obviously they will know who their lover is, but won't know their lover's role. (This love connection can be a connection between any two kinds of roles). Their ultimate goal is to survive together. If they are left over together then they win, whatever role they both have.
- The Elder of Rae - is an additional role, which means it is on top of your given role. The elder has two votes in every lynching and is elected by the town on day 1. Upon death, the elder chooses his or her predecessor. (formerly known as the mayor)
DAY PHASE - LYNCHING
During the day phase, everyone in the town will find out who has been murdered. All townsfolk (including the mafia, the serial killer, dealer and snitches) can then vote who they think are mobsters. This is the lynching process. There will be a deadline to which the people must vote by. If there is a draw, the deadline will be extended and only those drawing will be voted on. If there is still a draw by the new deadline, there will be no lynching. Once the result is in, the person will then be dead and their role will be revealed. Then that round is over and night begins again when the night roles make their next choices.
WHO WINS?
The godfather and his Mafia will win if they manage to kill everyone else off. The serial killer wins if he is the last person alive and the rest win if they manage to kill off all the mafia and kill the serial killer.
Everyone is allowed to post in the thread to discuss who they think is infected or try to make themselves less suspicious (if they are Mafia!). You may NOT quote any part of messages sent by the game moderators. Doing so will result in your sudden death. Also, when you die you are dead and are no longer part of the game, you are not allowed to discuss the game with anyone.
