Im not sure if anyone has realized this, but this is all Mark's fault. This is his war that never should of happened. While we were at war with 21/22 he stepped out of line and attacked both of our alliances. He got greedy and aggressive. He realized his mistake but by then it was too late. His initial NAP offer was a tad overboard, but i believe it could of been negotiated had it not been for his request of a 4-5 day ceasefire. Mark is a shady player, everyone knows this. It should not take longer than 24 hours to figure out a NAP.

So here we are, fighting HIS war. I cant be the only one who see his disappearance and inactivty as coincidence, right? He screwed up big time and threw his family under the bus. He realized this and the embarrasement drove him away. He outright lied to his family about the ceasefire that never existed. The 2-3 days that followed our NAP talks there was no follow up. 1 guy approached me, talked to me for 5 minutes and i never heard from them again until the real fighting started.

My alliance has been wrongfully labeled as the villain in this scenario. I find it to be disturbing that 16/07 would even consider continuing the war...correction; MESS...that Mark left for them. Colorado and Whiteshadow are smarter than that. My alliance has the economy and the will to slaughter 16/07 until they delete or go inactive. Thats not right. I have friends in 16/07 alliance and thats not good sportsmanship.

So...is 16/07 willing to throw away their round over the actions of an dishonest, inactive who fled the family as soon as he could? Is my alliance really wanting to punish a family for the actions of 1 player who isnt even playing anymore? When you consider all the circumstances surrounding how this war started in the first place, isnt it silly for us to keep fighting?

PS: This isnt about me trying to win the round. I can care less. Ive won more rounds than most of you combined over the course of my 12 year IC career. This is about fairplay and sportsmanship. At its core, when reduced to it's most basic elements this war is nothing more than a mess left behind by a coward and a liar.

I dont know how the rest of you feel, but i refuse to give Mark the satisfaction.

Earlier today we offered to straight up NAP. Nobody pays anything. Except maybe some core tradeouts. But thats pretty standard stuff.

Find me in chat and we can talk about it. Apparently im the only person out of both alliances who has a levell head about the whole thing.

Lets put our egos aside and start behaving like adults.

Its part of a family's arsenal and should be used often. NOT using it is just plain dumb.

@Metrex: That April Fools joke was 2 and a half years ago. It was a practical joke that had NOTHING to do with IC gameplay whatsoever. Of course i was angry. It was personal and somewhat cruel. Looking back i laugh now. It was a good troll and Nolio got me good.

Regarding matters of IC gameplay....you dont know me. Ive rarely played against you let alone with you in the same family. How would you know how i react and conduct myself? Answer.....you dont. The last few years ive been calm and collected concerning ingame matters. Yea, i get heated occasionally and im passionate about my gameplay.

Metrex, the way you are treating me over this situation is just wrong. Youre seriously threatening to stop being my friend over this? Gimme a break!! There is only one person in all of IC whom i threatened to end a friendship with (over ingame matters) and that was Luster. He broke a NAP with my familys 3 rounds in a row, rubbed it my face and blatantly lied to me about it.

Why would you take Mark's words over mine? What do i have to gain from lying about this? Whats the point?

1. Teddy and i talked to Mark about a possible NAP. Mark wanted 80 system core. Teddy and i refused.

2. Mark wanted a ceasefire for 4-5 days to discuss it. Teddy and i said NO. Why? Cuz it shouldnt take 4-5 days to figure out if you want to NAP. Thats an obvious stalling tactic, wether it was intended to be or not. Thats why we refused.

3. The 2-3 days following our talks with Mark, fighting and skirmishing continued. NOBODY bothered to message me or even find me in chat to pursue this possible NAP. We all figured it wasnt happening and planned accordingly.

4. 16/07 should of posted in Uni News that they were at war with 21/22. We would of backed off and let them have their fight. We couldnt infil Mark, he had too many agents. Besides, its not up to us to figure out who you are at war with.

5. Over the last day or 2 ive had 1 person from 16/07 alliance come to me to talk. That was Metrex. He didnt ask for a NAP or even bother trying to get peace. Do you know what he did? He pissed and moaned about the situation.

If 16/07 is pissed at anyone, it should be Mark. He basicly lied to his alliance about how the talks went down. There was never a ceasefire agreed upon. The NAP talks ended with nothing being agreed upon. Mark 'assumed' and came to his own conclusions about what he THOUGHT was gonna happen.
