wow, someone's funny. last round was the first round i've been farmed. apart from in icpg, but that doesn't really count seeings as the rest of my fam kinda deserved it. the two rounds before last round though, my fam's were consistently top 5, and we didn't farm anyone to get there. it's nothing to do with having been farmed, it's to do with how i view farming.

Some monopolies are good, some are bad.
Basic economics to explain why they're bad - loss of consumer freedom. There is no longer a variety of goods to chose from, at a variety of prices. If the monopoly has that large a market share, they can to a point control prices - undercut competitors to the point that they go out of business, then increase prices to above previous levels to make abnormal profits. The lack of alternative products means they can get away with providing goods of inferior quality as well.
Having said that, some monopolies are good/necessary - natural monopolies occur when it's more efficient for just one firm to be in the market. The example of this that I was taught was the British railway system. Network Rail owns the rail network in Britain, and thus gains large economies of scale when it comes to replacing tracks, or maintaining current tracks.
I guess another examples of this could be provision of water (regionally at least).

I know that there are no strict rules about that, but there are unspoken rules. Maybe I have stronger morales than most, but the way I see it, if you're negotiating NAP terms, you shouldn't make attacks during said period. Maybe you agree on a specific timeframe for this, maybe not. Obviously doing so is the more sensible option, but to carry on attacking just seems wrong to me.
The way you've put it, about there not being any rules - there's a difference in what's 'legal' and what's 'socially-acceptable', even in IC.
Just because you're going to buy a bag of crisps doesn't necessarily mean you should walk round the shop eating them before you've paid for them. I know some people do, but I would think the vast majority of people would wait till afterwards...

going back to the NAP/CF discussion. if you're in any form of nap negotiations, a CF should be mandatory. and you shouldn't just rescind this and start attacking just like that. if you don't want a nap, just say so, dont use it as cover to plan something. what rainin did was inexcusable.

Rain, Render was going on about that round when you were called Orbit, same fam as Parrot and Metreex, pretty sure you and him had scuffles due to you raiding someone in his fam when his fam was bottom...
