You do realize that not all people in this forum are native English speakers, right?

Every post following my first post so far, with the exception of this post, would be a good example of one type of "spam," as the term is used in the OP.

Okay, I'm stopping this right here.  Flint and Selur: If you want to debate the merits of global warming theory, go for it.  However, please be respectful to one other.  There is absolutely no reason why you need to throw personal attacks at one another in this debate.  Calling someone a liar or idiot is clearly a crossing of the threshold into personal attacks.  That's not happening.

It's this crazy thing called a middle ground.  You know... what exists between what the left likes to frame the right as advocating, and what the right likes to frame the left as advocating.  So... cut the crap with the strawman?

7. No spamming
Spamming is defined as the following:
- Inside spam (message): Posting identical posts in multiple threads so that it will be in multiple threads.
- Inside spam (large): Posting giant posts with no comprehensible/on-topic content in multiple threads to make thread loading time longer.
- Inside spam (small): To create a post in a thread with noncomprehensible or nonsensical content or absolutely not related to the topic of the content.
- Flooding/Thread spam: Posting many blank or message-less new threads in quick succession (usually to push off threads that existed earlier).
- Thread spam (small): To create a thread without a real topic, to waste the readers time.
- Multiple topic spam: To create a thread when another thread on a similar topic already exists.
- Thread bumping: Posting in threads that have been inactive for some time.
- Off-topic posts: Posts which do not fit in with the general topic of the thread.

For clarification... there's a report button for a reason.  If you want to state a lengthy discussion on rules issues, put it there.  After all, as much as I love the rules discussions, turning every politics thread into another rules debate of its own sort of creates the very same problem that makes off-topic spam against the rules.

Back to your regularly scheduled arguments!

Well, that was certainly random.

Ha!  Knew it!

Where else will we get our crappy IC lawyers?  big_smile

Oh, I'm just noting the policy contradiction in saying "the ice sheet collapse will occur momentarily" and in any way hoping that would advance any sort of global warming prevention agenda.  Once you say it's inevitable, there's not really a reason to prevent it anymore, because... well... it's over, so we might as well hurl CO2 into the atmosphere like there's no 5 years from now.  tongue

So... since carbon dioxide, according to global warming theory, stays in the atmosphere for long periods of time... we pretty much crossed the threshold, and now we never have to hear you complain about how future pollution will "cause global warming" again, since the disaster would be inevitable?

Okay, East...  I'm goin' t' do IC a favor an' suggest a post formattin' fer ye.
Aarrr!

Now, I know ye likely write yer post before th' quote because ye want t' be able t' distinguish when their quote ends an' yer post begins.   However, at th' same time, 'tis difficult fer th' reader who reads from top t' bottom (ye know, how all European writin' is read) with yer formattin'.

Thus, th' suggestion:

$20 million... from one email?  Or were you planning on filing 20 million different law suits against every individual spammer?  Your attorney's fees... are going to be atrocious!
