using ops isnt cheating!! LOL its part of the game. If Stefan didnt want us using them he wouldnt of programmed them into the game.

Using every weapon in your aresnal isnt dishonorable. Its smart. Whats the point of a Partaxian having a 70% magic bonus if not to cast spells? Why does a Quantam have every agent op? See my point? Your not playing the game to your full potential if your not using your family's operations.

since when are ops considered dishonorable? This is a war game and its totally within any empire's right to op whoever they want when they want. its part of the game. Recently a family hit me for 10 planets and i bitchslapped their bankers with Octarine Hurricanes for half a day. Why? CUZ I CAN!! You attack me, your bankers pay the price. Simple as that.

Now....is it wise to just fling ops at random for no reason? Prolly not. However this is a discussion for a different thread.

Point is.....BUILD WIZARDS AND AGENTS! Defend yourself properly. Ops are part of this game. So next time you decide to take a few planets off someone you should use some foresight and think ahead to the consequences. Fleets arent the only way to make a statement.

Gwynedd, Noir, Zarf and a few others are treating this as if it were a real, legal binding contract. its  a video game people! Does he uphold the NAP and open up a can of worms nobody wants or does Parrot do whats right?

Parrot did the right thing. He, unlike most of this gaming community understands the 'metagame' factor. (If you dont know what 'metagame' means google it.) Ive been in this position many times as a 'moderator' of sorts for the games i have been running for the past 25 years. YOU DO WHATS RIGHT. Its that simple.

Ive been a hardcore gamer for longer than some of you have been alive. Ive moderated table top RPGs, large scale miniatures war games and strategy games for years. I cant even begin to tell you how many times ive had to make decisions just like this. You are never gonna be able to please everyone all the time. Not everyone is agree with the decision he made. You guys can argue until your blue in the face but im telling you this...

Parrot was right. You guys are just gonna have to move on and deal with it as it stands. The sooner you accept that it was the right thing to do the better off you will be.

@Zarf: your correct in your assesment of the situation for the most part. Your standing on principle alone. Parrot made a decision that was better for the game in the long run. One thing you will learn as you get older that principles are a double edged sword. Sometimes you must do what is right rather than standing on pure principle alone. Many times i was stubborn and made decisions based on principle and they came back to bite me in the ass.

All of us need to chalk this up as a bad idea and move on. You and Noir are making a bigger deal out this than it really is. As a 'moderator' of all sorts of numerous games ive had to change rules and make decisions on the fly. Parrot made a good decision and i for one stand behind him and the entire mod team.
