hey folks! I broke my leg in late July (long story) and im still rehabbin it. So i figured id play a round since all i do is sit on my ass all day anyways!!

First round in months and im actually excited to play!! Lets all have a fun clean round and keep it civil. Remember its just a game people! We are here to have fun 

For those of you who know me, you know the last 3-5 years have been rough for me. Unemployed, no car, no drivers license and living with my parents with almost no hope to get out of the rut i was in. My life completely turned around a year ago when my daughter came to live with me full time. Since then ive got my license back, took my GED test and this past November i finally got a job again. I recently started my manager's training at Arbys and by this fall i hope to be in school studying to be a chef. The most unexpected event to happen to me was getting a girlfriend. Shes a student from Russia and a great girl, you guys would love her.

Most of you have noticed that i havent been around much the last few months.  I have no desire to actually play IC again. Its far too time consuming now. What little time i do have for recreation is spent with my daughter, girlfriend, family and rl friends. I just dont have the time to play actively or even semi-active anymore. That being said i will officially quit the Think Tank group. No sense in the others waiting on my input.

Over the past few years ive had alot of fun moments and some 'not so fun' moments. I love the community and the connections ive made over the past 12 years. Ill stop by IRC occasionally and hang out when i get time. So this isnt a 'goodbye im gone forever' type of post. Im just not playing or dealing with the actual game itself.

Im not gonna list a bunch of names of people ive played with or anything cheesy like that. If you played with me and we were cool, you know who you are!! Ive had some great rounds and some i dont care to remember! I can walk away from the game knowing ive won more rounds than most. I hope to be remebered as one of the best (if not THE best) Partaxian/Resourcer to ever play the game.

I thank everyone from the Mod team and everyone else who played with me in the past. Thanks for the great time and memories!!

Gonna add this to the list of projects for our Think Tank group.

There is merit in changing the laser system as it stands. Last round in MW with the 2 week delay lasers were pretty much pointless. I went with no lasers the entire round and maintained a large planet count. That has to tell ya something.

LOL some of you sound like the mafia. You actually think youre doing them a favor? Youre getting X amount of extra planets with no effort. If your goal was to gain X amount of planets in this war just take X amount of planets and be done with it. Since when do we care about an enemy's infra anyways?

What some of you fail to see is the long term problems this practice has caused. The most glaring of them all is the lack of fighting and wars. a large family can simply bully a smaller fam into a NAP for planets....without a single attack. Ive seen it! We have all seen it. This isnt what a war game is about. Whats happening here is another family exploring for another.

Another problem is smaller familys have now fallen into the habit of paying planets for NAPs. They give up and there is no fight. Everyone complains about the disparity between the top fams and bottom fams. Getting extra planets after a war for a NAP is helping to create that dispariity. Its not the entire problem, but is part of the pie.

Even in the most kind hearted scenario, its still extortion mafia style. The old protection racket. The deli shop owner who has to pay protection money to the mob. His choices are a broken legs or worse, or he pays them. Hmmm....Lose a bunch of infra or pay us planets.

Its about time we all take a stand and stop this practice of asking for planets for a NAP. Demanding planets for a NAP is literally extortion. In most countrys extortion is a crime. So why are we allowing this in our game and community?

Im calling on all leaders of Milky Way. Lets all agree to not ask for planets for NAPs this round. Fight for your planets. Earn them like a man!! When you win a war take what you have gained and leave it at that.

Im hoping so. If Jets doesnt hurry up im gonna write one myself
