I had a question about it... Oh yeah.

Has PS made it so SA can be cast during the first 4 days? Or is SA covered under "Offensive Ops?"

You know that red squiggly line under words in your posts? That's the spell check. It means it's spelled wrong. Right click on the words with it and it should give you the correct spelling... tongue

I think maybe a % of lost planets should trigger the surrender option. Like the Mercy Rule. Like if your family has lost 50% of their planets it should allow the losing leader the option to send the surrender. Once the Surrender has been triggered the losing family can't make attacks for 4 ticks. The winning family will have those 4 ticks to attack for planets. Once the 4 ticks are up a NAP is put in place automatically. Either 72 hour or pnap.

I would see the Surrender option as a chance for a family thats being owned/farmed to the ground to have a chance of saving their round

An integrated retake manager would be pretty nice. Would make life easier anyway. It should be able to include the last year with the current year anyway since the game tracks that. Maybe make it separate from the family news page so things wouldn't be too cluttered.

I highly dislike how score is accumulated on individuals instead of a family pool. If instead of adding the points on the individual it were to add the points into a family pool of the points then you wouldn't be penalized if a player goes inactive and is deleted, or in my family's case we had a player killed or deleted to rejoin with a low NW on purpose. But when he was gone, we lost all the points he had accumulated for the round.

Seeing as there are 3 ranking systems, shouldn't there be 3 winning categories?

The only thing you'll have to worry about are angry msgs from the family you were leading once you've gone inactive and never come back... speaking from experience with you... tongue

Yeah thats what i was thinking. I don't want to get spammed emails from someone in another family spamming me ingame. And if someone from my own fam is taking planets from me, it's generally by design so i don't want to know about that either.

@EM: Because i have gmail and my phone alerts me whenever i get a new email through gmail. Plus texting may cost money for certain phone plans

How about it? Either for msgs from family members or for certain recent events.

I'd love to be able to choose the option to receive email alerts whenever i get an ingame msg from one of my family members or if hostile actions have happened (incoming spells/ops/non-family attacks)

$4 a mile... lol. Damnit, i just spent $12 getting to work then X(...  $4 a gallon. Prices have dropped to $3.95. I paid $3.83 at BJ's because im a member.  Although i live in New York and the prices are higher then the national average here... Explain to me how a land locked state has gas prices much lower then NY... X(

Need to think about what events are going on where you plan to visit also. If there are major events room rates will be jacked up.

If you don't mind getting the "What's it like riding in a vag?" jokes you could rent a Prius. I think they are the most fuel efficient cars available here. Around 50 mpg. Ford Fiesta and Chevy cruze are around 40 MPG and aren't hybrids

Don't throw your hard drive out. As long as it's a SATA Hard Drive you can take it to someone with a tower PC and plug it into their system or use an external sata to usb converter. You should be able to grab any of your documents from it (especially if it's not the hard drive thats the problem). At least if your lucky enough to have it still work.

I worked on a lady's laptop that was dropped and the hard drive didn't show up. I got it working enough using a Vista recovery disc to be recognized in windows and then i could get the files off. Was a pain. If it doesn't show up in windows you could try using ubuntu and seeing if that sees it. its a little less demanding of partitions then windows.

If your using Vista... You deserve anything that happens to you... tongue I assume it's Vista or Windows 7. The auto recovery options have never worked for me for either. So useless.

At least laptop hard drives are pretty inexpensive. Can get a 160-500GB drive for $40-60. Or grab an intel SSD tongue I talked my work into letting me get a 40GB intel SSD and load XP on it. It's sick (make sure to align it properly before installing) If your putting windows 7 on you will want a larger size. XP only takes up 14GB's with all updates and programs installed. Win7 takes 16GB at least just for the initial install X(

Try the F8 options i said in the earlier post first

When you turn it on and see the Laptop maker's bios splash screen hit F8 repeatedly. Then choose last known good configuration

if that fails do the F8 and try safe mode
