Yea SmallE ...i just picked 10, cos a lot of the top fams had around that number.  Then any fams with more than that, say 12 planets, I'd take away 1600 nw (800 x 2).  Any fams below that, say 7 planets, I'd add 2400 nw (800 x 3).

Pretty crude way of doing it. ..but its just one way I look at giving me a snapshot of who has the best infra at any given time.

It changes a lot based on what people are doing tho, ie savings and what they got planned. 

I mean take a look, this is the snapshot as of this tick ....using 12 as a Planet Base:

From this, we see that 1699, 1683, 1706, 1685 and 1697 are the fams in regards to eco.

Basically shows u the strongest Eco fams built as of that tick.

Not a good judge ofcourse ...cos of a lot of factors such as:
- Doesnt' allow for savings on hand
- Doesn't allow for stocked eships
- Assumes having the extra build space of 15 planets is not better/worse than having say 8 planets.
- etc etc

...but its generally a good idea of who has the strongest infra atm.

Why don't u draft in someone u want then?

That way you get to play with a friend too.

And if you're really that keen on doing it, and have a friend thats not a VIP ....you could just kill your random at a time when the gal is full, creating space for 1 extra person in the galaxy - and then just have that friend of yours random in.

(Btw, thats known as illegal drafting - and illegal in normal gals - but they have preventive measures against it.  And since SD is full drafted, I dont think mods will have an issue - plus, you are already at a disadvantage with an inactive player anyway.  Just make sure your friend doenst random into the wrong fam! )
