you can say all you want about what Lincoln said, but im willing to bet you dont have every quote from him that was ever made public. and the fact of the matter is that the South seceded from the union when they did because Lincoln made himself their enemy and when he was elected into office, they thought their only choice was to secede.

the north also had a superior navy, and a superior army, and superior transportation with much more extensive railroads. and the reason why the war lasted as long as it did and cost so many american lives is because Lincoln chose incredibly inept generals to lead his army.

ofcoarse there was going to be some compromises done on both sides inorder to settle the disagreement between the northern and southern states, but war could of been avoided had Lincoln shown he would be open to concessions.

whats even worse then us having Carter as president is how Lincoln and JFK are considered to be some of the greatest presidents. JFK in his very limited time in Office created the Bay of Pigs Fiasco; Moved us closer to all out War in Vietnam; created the idea that it was the people's job to serve the government and not the government's job to serve the people; and nearly ended the existence of the human race in the Cuban Missile Crisis. as for Lincoln, he alienated the south and caused a civil war; the war where more americans died then any other. he destroyed states rights, he destroyed the south's economy, and lengthened the civil war through horrid military decisions when the war should of been much shorter. and then we call him one of the greatest presidents because he hastened the end of slavery in the US by acouple years and we're too afraid to sound racist to not think he was one of the greatest presidents in american history for him doing so.

what was said is that the US better care about what other people think because if they dont, other countries could cut off trade with the US and they would be fine, but it would screw over the US.

4gb of ram is $70; 2gb is $35-$40. suck it up and buy another stick, ram is cheap now. 2 gigs of ram is a normal requirement right now for a new game. right now if you build a computer, you buy 4 gigs.
