faith is a funny thing. It can apply to anything, anywhere and at any point in time. Now lets assume that I have faith that the earth has gravity (and yes, I do have faith that the gravity of the earth will keep me on the earth and I won't go flying into space). Everyday I have faith. It's an unconscious faith. That's the key we should all be paying attention to with faith. There is conscious and unconscious faith. Your faith is unconscious when you walk around daily. Your faith is conscious when someone, say I, ask you to take my hand so I can save you from the precipice. Of course for the masses who know who I am, you probably would go for the precipice. Well, some of you. Others might just wait for the next person to save them. Either way, you have your conscious faith right there. Now lets add in conditional faith to the conscious faith. Conditional faith is like the previous example. You are actively working with your faith. Conditional faith usually involves you doing something with faith unlike conscious faith where you know that you have faith in something or someone. You think about conscious faith, you don't think about unconscious faith (much). Conditional faith is where you act upon something applying to faith. those are the keys.

now lets move on to the funny part. People are idiots. One word is retards. Many many people are as stupid as they come. However, many are smart and many are also clever. Not to mention many are also, well, cruel would be an apt word to describe them. Cruel people are the one's that you want to avoid because they are heartless people who will, WILL, take you down with them and they will watch you struggle in the water gasping for air and laugh then cut your wrists and achilles heels and leave you for dead. They are very common nowadays because they are the people who lack the conventional "Conditional faith" I was just mentioning. Those people are the people who don't care, do and  move on couldn't care if someone was dying in front of them. They are part of the new "people" in our future. Then you have the idiots. Idiots. HAH. Doesn't describe some people well enough. MILLIONS are sucked into the popular culture that is "Pop" and the popularity scene. Pop. Pop pop pop pop popcorn. These are people who are 11, 12 years old and are having kids, and their parents don't even realize the enormity of the problem until they are like, "wtf, when were you at the hospital giving birth?" This is the other part of the new "people". THIS IS OUR FUTURE!!! We're all gonna get screwed over guys. These 2 groups are throwing out the morals that were once so prevalent in our youth. After all, what happened to the days you could toss a kid into a burlap sack and beat them with a hickory stick in the town square? The smart and clever people are there, but they are outnumbered by those idiots. I am truly concerned with the state of the world. More and more I read about such and such a person killed this dog, or this person killed a 2 year old. A pair pitbulls attacked a 10 year old boy a couple days ago. The newspaper headline said, 'Who is to blame? The dog or the owner?" Well, first off, the story said the 10 year old's brother took both dogs in since they were strays. He is 15. WTF!? secondly, 9/10 times it's the owner's fault when an animal causes a problem. They either cause a reaction in the animal creating a response that is hardwired into the animal's psyche or they push the animal to the point where they will snap over the slightest thing. Once in awhile an animal may snap over seeing something, sometimes it is the owner or the former owner's fault, but not always.

Lets look at what Lucas once told me. An 8? year old boy killed a 4 year old boy by stuffing rocks down his throat til he suffocated. Then hid the body by covering it with stones. Lets move on to another scene, A grandfather was convicted for leaving an 8 month child in the car while grocery shopping. The grandfather was 83. He was convicted of manslaughter, and received jail time. 83!!! WTF! Continuing, Tiger Woods, oh yeah, he had an affair with a dozen women just about. Hundreds of people divorce annually in the US, HUNDREDS. Thousands even, and yet, Tiger Woods? Affair? OH SHIT THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! EVERYONE LETS READ ABOUT IT!!! Gossip gossip gossip. X( You people make me sick. I ask of you all, like I asked several pages before, what's wrong with the world? Faith is screwy, half of us have it the other half don't even want it. People are either cruel and unusual or they are idiots. Stupidity is rampant...What's wrong with the world? Tell me, what is wrong with our world people? I find problems everywhere. And yet, the country is run by a bunch of idiots as well. We don't need healthcare reform so much as we need someone who can actually affect change. Declare martial law, break up the senate I don't care, the problem isn't that we need someone to create change, the problem is that we need someone to MAKE change HAPPEN. If you have 1 person making decisions, then things can get done. If you have what, 500+ people arguing about those decisions, then you have some major problems because nothing will get done. People will always disagree with something.

Everything is screwed up. If I could do something that would change the world, I would probably overthrow the US government. Because it needs to be changed. 200 years of the same thing? something needs to be done to change it. Problem is, no one wants to take that scary first step because they could be seen as "causing problems" and then you have 500 different groups of people protesting and then comes the government trying to do something and then you have the vigilantes going off to try and kill said person and it then gets ugly. Free country my ass. We're about as free as a caged lion in a zoo. We're all well and good chilling in our cage, but once we try to get beyond the cage, everyone starts taking offense or tries to stop us.

I ask you all, and I demand an answer, what is wrong with us? What is so fundamentally wrong that people, millions and billions of people, just can't seem to understand that something is wrong with us? Something has caused a problem in us, a glitch in the system that causes us to act out of the ordinary. I suppose one could argue it's free will, but if free will cause people to revel in killing others, even effing 8 year olds to kill others, then what is wrong with free will? Where has it gotten us? Into trouble. As the saying goes, "Curiousity killed the cat." I add the corollary, "But the cat has nine lives" in our country, this is all too true... hmm

I agree wholeheartedly with Fokker.

Except that once when I get older, I know I'll die, so whatever happens after I die, I could hardly care less about. So why should I care that the world is 'all good' when I'm dead?

alright here's a question

what causes our desires for acting for the greater good? Impulse? Pre-natural desire implanted into us via some supernatural cause? Does this imply we are all good to start? What exactly is "good"? Does the good require us to act in such a manner that we are forced into deciding each action?

I'll give you all a taste of how I do my stuff. And most of this information is via popular opinion.

I am a nice person. I am kind, generous, a little insane, loquacious, energetic, quick-thinking, lead when others fail or will not, and quite possibly insane. smile I know how to sew, cook, bake, clean, mow a lawn, wash dishes, install shingles, install insulation, I have some carpentry experience, I can change a tire, repair a broken tube in a car, temporarily fix some car problems, fix a head light or tail light, and I can also solve 7/10 problems many face, although some are unconventional while others are conventional, most would probably not take my solutions.

I have hundreds of thoughts that pass through my head daily. It's almost mind boggling. Probably ADHD. A shame I dont take drugs sad but the way I look at my life is that I take everything step by step. Why? Because if there is a greater being who has destined me for something (predestination) then what does it bother what I do? I'm destined to end dead no matter what. Die in some crazy way. Arguably, Descartes said the end justifies the means. Well, the end doesn't always justify the means. My end is that I will die. The means, I could shoot an entire mall up, blow an airplane or w/e, but does me dying justify that? Am I predestined to kill 120 people on an airplane? Kill 500 people in a mall? or am I predestined to die at 97 or is it tomorrow hit by a car? If that's the case, what does it matter that I praise and worship some great deity for 15-75 years of my life? I'm going to die nonetheless, so I take my pleasure every day in everything that I do. I try to do things I like to do. Most disagree with my sentiment, but my argument is why should I clean my room when, guaranteed in 2 weeks, it will look the same? It's futile to do something, take my time in doing something I don't, shouldn't waste my time in doing.

In regards to ethical actions, I weigh out my choices and go with the best option. I find that 70% honesty and 30% lies is the best choice. According to the bible, in not so many words, we can't help but lie. It's natural. Pre-natural tongue so I decided, if I can tell the truth without both parties having a problem, one or both getting in trouble or some problem caused, then why not? Other times, lies aren't the worst thing in the world. Sometimes you will lie, need to lie or just lie to escape a problem. As I said, I'm a nice, kind person, upright as well. Hardworking, dedicated and tough. Hell, I don't remember the last time i cried. No reason, because I've seen the world and I've seen the dirty rotten, core beneath and understand the depths of HELL in this place. No longer surprised, I don't get phased. Still, I try to be honest when possible because you can always ALWAYS get in more trouble when caught in a lie.

AND FOR THOSE ESTABLISHED CHRISTIANS OUT THERE!

here's some food for thought: many many people are raised believing or to believed in some deity, call in to question that deity, then some return while others turn to other religions while still others don't decide at all. There was a parable similar to this, what is it? It's one of the most important parables because it applies to EACH person today.
