Thanks Torqez & KT.

I think I'll want to change my name again before round start (tbh I just changed it because I was curious what I could actually set it as lol).  Should I perhaps wait a day before changing it again so the bug can be resolved?

This has just happened to me!.  Just like Carrera says I changed my empire name and now I can't log in at all getting that error message.

Carrera how do i solve this?

120x120 map and so far every player is on the left side of the map!

Actually I found you when I checked my portalled systems around my HS and found you in them.  I don't know what a player is expected to do when they find this, because the options are either leave it and risk you portalling up in my systems or I have to clear them out which I admit is rather harsh on you, but what can I do?  For the record I would have cleared 39 if we weren't pnaped.

I wouldn't change much, but I'd definitely reduce the number of systems so the explo phase will end before the rounds over!

Market is a nice idea for the reasons people have mentioned, it would allow you move away from the simple CF/MF/RF strategy and make TO's profitable for a banking game.  It also gives you an opportunity to respond to war declarations so you can buy the resources to build up your army.

Finally I would say make sure the galaxy fills up in a more balanced way rather than all the free space on the right as it was this time.  Players on the edge of the empty space were at an advantage from the start.

46,12 has just started showing up as a 9433 protected core system, however 9333 has a planet in this system!  This has changed over the last 24 hours, and 9333 had a planet in there for that whole duration.  So surely this system shouldn't be a 9433 core and I should be allowed to attack?  (I tried sending a little fleet to test but it wouldn't let me)

Fixed.

It's working for me!  Thanks big_smile

Since the new interface was introduced this morning I've found that this isn't working.  It will display my own systems and systems for an enemy, but it doesn't display the specific family systems at all.  This was working yesterday on the old interface, but hasn't since the change.

Aren't there the old formulae for attacking fighters lost and for droids needed to win.  It's been a few years so maybe these are out of date now, but I always used to use these to calculate the defending fleets when you make an attack:

Droids to win = Attacking droids killed / 0.027

Defending Figs = 8*Attacking figs lost * (1+Attackers race bonus)

Only thing you have to be careful of is if you lose the maximum amount of your fleet, this will underestimate your opponents fleets.

Oh right, that's not what the guide says sad

"Note 2:Only one family needs to declare war to obtain the war advantages. However, it will take two ticks after one family declares war before the advantages become apparent."

I'd best go and find someone my own size to fight then!

Military Advisor
"Great Ruler! The rules set by the Galactic Overseers™ prevent us from attacking. The family the ruler of this planet belongs to has a net worth less than 40% of our own family's networth. We are not at war with that empire's family, nor have they done any hostile actions against us within the last 72 hours."

Getting this message when I'm trying to make an attack.  The thing is though, I have declared war on the target!  Networth difference between myself and the target was about 39% (only just outside the 40%), and shouldn't I be allowed to attack down to 25%?

This is in supernova.

(FYI, war was declared 5 ticks ago, so the 2 ticks required have definitely passed)

Makes sense, thank you!

Hi all,

I used to play this game a few years ago and have just come back for another attempt playing in the Supernova galaxy.  In the announcement it mentions "Core Systems", this is a new concept since I last played so I don't fully understand.

Could someone perhaps link me to the announcement when it was first introduced?

So does this mean that if I can hold onto an entire system for 7 days, it becomes impossible to attack for the rest of the round?

noooo reshuffle!

You better all prepare yourselves for the Sith and Humi show next round!!!

I have made one mistake through this...

I shouldda trusted Reacon.  sorry matey wherever you are.

First mention of Pnap was yesterday when Tymra came asking me for one.  When you rape a fam so their entire rounds ruined, we ain't gonna give you what you want tongue

You signed the nap... if you didn't like the time it took you could easily have withdrawn the offer as I hadn't signed yet.  Sorry if I have a life and you don't, I'd rather be out enjoying myself than talking to some jumped up guy over the tinterweb.

I can't be asked to read this whole thread, I'm not exactly very active anymore anyway.  Just want to make it clear 53 are Nap Breakers, and rapists too.  Yeah, there were issues with our nap causing some complex situations.  I don't know yet what Alltime's defence for his rule breaking is, but presumably he's going to say either A)  Reacon took 30 planets from his fam, or B)  My fam was intruding in their cores.

With Reacon, he was attacked first and he claimed to have been refused compensation.  I didn't know if Reacon or Alltime was telling the truth here regarding messages and verbal agreements they made, but I backed Alltime, and told him he could take on Reacon in a personal war, Reacon Vs his fam (Reacon had said it was personal for him by then anyway).  They got far more than the compensation they were owed when the hit Reacon so were in a very good situation from the nap.  So that's no excuse to hit us.

B)  Very simple here.  Alltime was told to send a list of core intrusions as per standard nap rules, which would give us 48 hours to give them up before nap is voided.  However, no list of intrusions was sent therefore nap could never be voided under these terms.

Eagery awaiting his defence.  It'd be nice if galaxies would respond to this sort of play in IC these days but thats long dead unfortunately.  It seems the best way to play these days is to cheat.  (I was going to say the only way, but thats not fair as some fams can win through skill alone).

Anyone know where I can find them?  I used to have them downloaded but that was on an old PC.  Now I can't find them again!  I've looked in the stickied tools thread but no luck.  Is it still available?

Everyone complains about vultures.  I don't give a notice at all as to if a fams at war or not, unless I plan to war them myself.  The small battles around borders must always go on.

Wars over... perfect time for an update don't you think?  Then I'll start my comeback big_smile

I'd assume so, both have weak allies now.  Ofc I'd like to keep 64 as my ally but I can't blame them if they ditch us.

Damn noobs... yeah Bullet your right I'll stick at it.  Not easy as I'm stuck as a banker and I'm much rather be able to lead from the front now.  But heck I'll do my best, might still be able to claw a top 10 finish outta this if those of us left pull together.

Yeah we were just getting into that war too... had Rizzy not had his family issues who knows how this round would have gone for us sad

Go 47 and 64 I say... our previous and currant (although probably not for much longer) allies.

lol Rizzy had family problems... had anyone actually noticed he'd been inactive for 5 days?  Came on this morning for 2 ticks then left...  Nothing to do with war and I think any of us would have done the same in his situation.

That don't help my fam much though...

WHOamI... ok yeah most others had 15 or so wink

I don't think you can scream bad defence by 60... 20 lasers a planet is high by usual standards, although they got us just before our portals were coming.  More a well timed raid I'd say.

Anyway, after clearing out the 65/53 attacks the tide seems to be turning a bit wink  53 are going downwards but someone needs to slow up 65!
