For MOD team to beat me they have to put alot of gc into construction, not miss a tick and be at 1 tick distance.

I don't really like the idea of the shorter round. You don't truly feel the scarcity until your planet is 500%+ ob and you're trying to decide if you want to build 1 mf or 3 cfs
We might be able to leverage the KOTH map to make people equidistant from the planet...at least within 2-3 ticks of the same (I was 11 ticks from the planet this round:()
What if to slow down the capturing of the new planet, we created a dummy account that a moderator would give an exploration ship to along with resources to get it sent out...the mod team explored the new planet built...say...50 lasers on it, and put that account to sleep just logging in often enough that it doesn't get auto deleted. That would keep someone from exploring the new planet too quickly and force everyone to decide if they want to establish their income or go after the new planet asap.
I'm with Zarf on the resources. Sure, we could add planets and starting resources...but the entire point of the round was scarcity...
and make sure he does it all while standing on his left foot and touching his nose while singing the theme song from titanic.
Since a number of players will join 3 days before the round starts and not show up until the round actually starts, I don't think this is something we'd be interested in changing.
I don't think it would be possible without a full rewrite and a server upgrade.

If you're talking Supernova, probably not much benefit as you'll have lots of MF's, rs's, etc. as well.
TO's give you 2% increased income for every % of your total buildings that are TO's. When banking in SB, I do the same thing Lightguns is discussing. Typically I'll get to about 50% cfs, 30% rcs, 20% TO's, which gives you 40% increased income. Once I destroy the RC's I'll get the ratio to about 60%cf, 40% to.

Yup. Playing in the same galaxy with friends is fine as long as you follow the rules listed in the thread I posted above. If you're going to be playing from the same computer it's safest to let us mod folk know.

Is it changed back again to 7 days in SN round 20 or is it still 3 days? It really makes a big difference in my gameplay. If 3 days gets confirmed I could be more agressive.

Yes sir. Good catch. There was an issue when we originally reset Supernova, for some unknown reason everything went through on our end, but the game never initiated the gal.
Pretty common theme from what's left of our community.
There was talk of bringing in someone to work on an overhaul, but I'm not sure of the status. If I remember correctly the issue is going to be that this game was coded years before the idea of mobile gaming existed, so I'm not sure how compatible with current standards it is.
